Okay, let's talk about American Beauty Star. Specifically, Season 2. And specifically, the winner: Lucy.

Now, before you sharpen your pitchforks, hear me out. I'm not saying Lucy isn't talented. Obviously, she is! She won!

But... was she my personal favorite? That's a different story. And maybe, just maybe, I'm not alone in feeling this way. Don't @ me.

Lucy definitely brought the drama. Every reality show needs a queen bee, right? She was definitely confident, some might even say...intense.

The Competition Was Fierce

But let's be real, the other artists were amazing too. Remember those incredible sculpted hair looks? The avant-garde makeup?

Maybe that’s why it's hard for me to fully jump on the Lucy bandwagon. The others just seemed...nicer. Is that shallow? Maybe!

Lucy definitely knew how to work the camera. She knew how to create buzz. It’s undeniable, she’s fantastic with the show business aspect of things.

But sometimes, quieter talent can be just as powerful. Right?

And reality TV is edited to amp up drama. Maybe Lucy wasn’t as intimidating as she appeared. It’s always hard to tell.
