Ark Aberration Best Base Locations Single Player

So, you've bravely ventured into the glowing, grimy depths of Ark: Aberration, eh? Welcome to the party! Single player is a whole different beast than online, isn't it? You're the master of your domain, the king or queen of your sparkly mushroom kingdom.
But where to build your castle? Don't worry, I've got you covered. Let's scout out some prime real estate that'll keep those pesky Rock Drakes (and everything else that wants to nibble on your toes) at bay.
The Fertile Chamber: Early Game Paradise
Ah, the Fertile Chamber. Picture this: Lush greenery, gentle glowing light, and relatively peaceful creatures. It's basically Aberration's version of a summer vacation, but with giant crabs.
There's a sweet little spot near the entrance that's perfect for a starter base. It's relatively flat, resource-rich, and easy to defend.
Just be mindful of the Raptors and Karkinos wandering about. They’re like the nosy neighbors, always dropping in uninvited!
The Spine: Mid-Game Marvel
Feeling a bit more adventurous? Then let’s hit The Spine. This area is higher up than the Fertile Chamber.
Near the waterfall, you can find a nice little ledge that's surprisingly defensible. It's like a natural fortress carved right into the rock face! The view is fantastic.
Keep an eye out for Basilisk and Rock Drakes. These guys are the big leagues, so come prepared!
The Bioluminescence Zone: Late-Game Luxury
Ready to live the high life, Aberration style? Then it's time to move to the Bioluminescence Zone. Think Avatar but…underground?
There are some ledges overlooking the central lake that provide excellent views and defense. You'll need some serious firepower to protect it though.
Reapers and Nameless are going to be your main problem here. Think of them as the HOA with really sharp claws.
The Surface Entrance: For the Brave (or Crazy)
Okay, this one's not for the faint of heart. The Surface Entrance is, well, where all the nasty stuff from the surface comes down to visit.
It's close to all the resources you need to ascend. Just be warned that the Seekers and Reapers here are plentiful, and the environment is harsh.
Consider it a challenging final base location. Only build here if you want a challenge that could drive you to re-evaluate your life choices!
General Base Building Tips for Aberration Single Player
No matter where you decide to build, keep these tips in mind. Aberration is all about verticality, so take advantage of cliffs and ledges to build upwards.
Use zip lines to get around quickly. They are your best friend. They're like the subway system, but way more fun.
Don't forget to stock up on charge batteries and glowsticks. Darkness is your enemy. Aberration is dark, like, REALLY dark, so you'll need plenty of light to see what's trying to eat you.
Finally, remember to have fun. Aberration is a challenging but rewarding map. So go out there, explore, build, and don't let the Rock Drakes bite!
