Bad Sisters Music By Episode Season 2

Okay, Bad Sisters fans! Season 2 hit us hard, didn't it? We got more Garvey scheming, more questionable decisions, and... well, more questionable music choices. I'm just saying!
The Elephant in the Room: Did the Music *Really* Fit?
Don't get me wrong, I love a good soundtrack. A killer tune can elevate a scene. But Season 2 had me scratching my head sometimes. Was I the only one?
It's like, picture this: a tense standoff followed by a 80s synth-pop song. It's... jarring. I felt like I was in two different shows at once!
Episode 1: A Funky Start?
Episode one set the tone, didn't it? We get reintroduced to our favorite sisters, and... disco? Maybe it's just me. But did disco *really* capture the essence of their current situation?
I guess it was supposed to be ironic. But I felt like I was waiting for the "Saturday Night Fever" dance-off that never came! Sorry not sorry.
Episode 2: Where Did All The Tension Go?
Episode 2 had its moments. But the music felt like it was fighting the storyline. It was like someone was trying to lighten the mood *too* much.
We're dealing with blackmail, marital strife, and potential murder plots. Give us some dark, brooding tunes! Not something I'd hear at a kids birthday party.
Episode 3: The '80s Called, They Want Their Soundtrack Back
Synth city, population: Bad Sisters, Season 2, Episode 3. Seriously, I felt like I had accidentally turned on an '80s movie. The shoulder pads were missing but the vibe was there.
I like '80s music. Just not *here*. Maybe it's my unpopular opinion of the year. Don't @ me!
Episode 4: A Slight Improvement, But Still...
Okay, okay, I'll admit it. Episode 4 was slightly better. There were moments where the music actually complimented the scene. Progress!
But then... BAM! A song pops up that feels totally out of place. It's like the music supervisor just threw darts at a playlist and hoped for the best.
Episodes 5 & Beyond: The Rollercoaster Continues
The rest of the season was a wild ride musically. Ups and downs. Moments of brilliance. And moments that made me cringe. I'm sure someone loved the choices, but they weren't all for me.
It's like they had a theme, then forgot what it was halfway through. Did anyone else feel this way?
A Few Songs I Actually Liked (Yes, There Were Some!)
It wasn't *all* bad. There were a few gems hidden in there. The instrumental pieces during the more dramatic scenes worked well, often bringing tension when the episode needed.
But honestly, I can't remember the names of the songs. They blended together with all the other... louder choices.
Maybe if they had stuck with this type of music, I wouldn't be here writing this article! One can dream.
My Unpopular Opinion: Less is More
Look, I love Bad Sisters. The acting is superb. The writing is sharp. But the music in Season 2? A bit of a miss for me.
Sometimes, silence is golden. Let the acting and the story speak for themselves. We don't need a pop song every five minutes.
So, what do you think? Am I being too harsh? Or did the Bad Sisters Season 2 soundtrack leave you a little confused too?
Let's discuss! Maybe I'm missing something. Or maybe, just maybe, I'm right. 😉
