Beginning After The End Volume 10

Okay, let's talk Beginning After The End. Specifically, volume 10. You know, the one we all waited ages for? I have thoughts. Possibly controversial ones.
The Calm Before the Storm? More Like a Gentle Breeze
Everyone hyped this volume up. They said it was a pivotal moment. They promised epic battles and earth-shattering revelations. And, well... it was fine.
Don't get me wrong. I enjoyed it! But pivotal? Earth-shattering? I've had spicier ramen.
Maybe my expectations were too high. Maybe I'm just impatient. But did anyone else feel like it was more of a setup volume? A really long, drawn-out setup?
Where's the Bang?
I kept waiting for something *big* to happen. Like, Arthur suddenly going super saiyan or Sylvie hatching into a dragon-god-thing. You know, something impressive.
Instead, we got a lot of internal monologue. Which is cool and all. But my attention span rivals that of a goldfish sometimes.
I love Arthur's journey. I really do. But I wanted more action, less introspection. Is that so wrong?
The Characters We Love (and Some We... Tolerate)
Let's talk characters. Arthur is still, well, Arthur. Overpowered, slightly angsty, and fiercely protective.
And what about Tess? Ah, Tess. Some love her. Some... don't. I’m trying to stay neutral, okay?
I'm more of a Regis fan, personally. That sassy little void god is pure comedic gold.
Unpopular Opinion Time
Okay, brace yourselves. Here's my truly unpopular opinion about volume 10: it could have been shorter.
Yeah, I said it. Some sections felt a little... padded. Like the author was trying to hit a word count. Or maybe I just have a terrible attention span.
I still devoured every page, of course! But afterwards, I couldn't shake the feeling that some parts could have been condensed. Streamlined. Made... snappier.
Final Thoughts: Still Hooked, Though
Despite my gripes, I'm still completely invested in Beginning After The End. I need to know what happens next. I need answers!
And let's be honest, even a "meh" volume of this series is better than most other books out there. TurtleMe has created something special.
So, bring on volume 11! I'm ready (and slightly impatient). Just, you know, maybe throw in a dragon fight or two? Pretty please?
Don't hate me for my opinions! We all experience stories differently. Let's just agree that Beginning After The End is awesome, even when it's being a little slow.
After all, a slow burn can sometimes lead to the most spectacular explosions!
