Okay, let's talk NBA 2K22. Specifically, can you buy a mascot? This is a question that has plagued my gaming existence.

I know, I know, it sounds ridiculous. But hear me out!

The Mascot Dream

I've always wanted a fluffy friend courtside. Imagine Moondog cheering me on during those clutch moments. Pure, unadulterated, pixelated joy!

But alas, no direct "Buy Mascot" button exists. It's a cruel, mascot-less world we live in.

VC Woes and Cosmetic Craving

We dump VC (Virtual Currency) into everything else. Shoes? Check. Tattoos that make me look vaguely intimidating? Double-check!

Why not a mascot? Why can’t I drop a few thousand VC on a tiny, furry hype man?

This is where my unpopular opinion comes in. I think we *should* be able to buy mascots.

MyTeam, MyPark, My Mascot!

Think about it. MyTeam could have mascot packs. Imagine pulling a rare Benny the Bull card!

MyPark would become a furry frenzy. Imagine the chaos of a dozen mascots hyping up random games. It would be beautiful. Chaos, I tell you!

It would add a new layer of personalization. It will allows us to express our digital selves through adorableness. Who doesn't want that?

The Grind is Real, But Is it Mascot-Worthy?

Currently, mascots are tied to affiliations. You need to grind, rep up, and basically dedicate your life to a virtual neighborhood.

It's a commitment. A serious one.

Honestly, I barely have time to shower. Let alone, max out my affiliation.

The Pay-to-Win Argument (and Why It's Wrong)

I know what you’re thinking. "Oh no, not more microtransactions!" But this isn't pay-to-win. This is pay-to-have-a-cute-sidekick.

A mascot doesn't give you a +5 to your three-point shot. It gives you a +10 to your happiness. Which, arguably, is more important.

Besides, VC is already used for purely cosmetic items. Mascots fit right in!

The Future of Furry Friends

Maybe *NBA 2K23* will be the year of the mascot. Maybe Ronnie 2K is reading this right now, furiously scribbling down notes.

Probably not, but a guy can dream, right? I'm holding out hope.
