Daniel Bryan Vs Randy Orton Vs Batista

Remember the Good Old Days?
Ah, 2014. What a year! We had Frozen mania. Pharrell's "Happy" was EVERYWHERE. And oh yeah, a little wrestling drama with Daniel Bryan, Randy Orton, and Batista.
Seriously though, that feud. It was everywhere. You couldn't escape it, even if you tried!
The Setup: A Tale of Underdogs and Snakes
Okay, so you had Daniel Bryan. The ultimate underdog. Everyone loved him, right?
Then there was Randy Orton. The Viper. Always lurking, always scheming. Mr. "Apex Predator" himself.
And finally, Batista. Big Dave! Back in town to reclaim his spot. Muscle and intensity galore.
My Unpopular Opinion (Brace Yourselves!)
Here it comes... I think Batista gets a bad rap. I said it!
Everyone was SO Team Bryan (rightfully so!), but Big Dave wasn't *that* bad. He just wanted his title shot, okay?
Look, I get it. Timing is everything. And Batista's return felt...off. Like, interrupting the Daniel Bryan lovefest wrong.
Seriously Though, That Royal Rumble...
Remember the 2014 Royal Rumble? Ugh. The boos! Poor Batista. He won, but he was basically public enemy number one.
The crowd wanted Bryan. They wanted the underdog story to continue. Batista was just…in the way.
I almost felt bad for him. Almost. (But not really, because Bryan deserved it more!)
Orton: The Constant Threat
Let's not forget Randy Orton! The guy was always there, slithering around. Trying to capitalize on everyone else's misery.
He was the perfect foil. The established champion, clinging to his title. And oh-so-smug.
You just wanted to see him get his comeuppance, didn't you? I know I did.
WrestleMania XXX: The Ultimate Payoff
WrestleMania XXX was epic. Truly epic. The New Orleans crowd was electric.
Daniel Bryan overcoming the odds? Chef's kiss! Beating Orton and Batista in the same night? Legendary.
That triple threat match was a rollercoaster. So many near falls! So much drama!
So, Who *Really* Won?
Technically, Daniel Bryan won. He got the belts. He got the girl (Brie!). He got the "Yes!" chants echoing through the arena.
But, I think we all won. We got an amazing storyline. We got incredible performances. And we got a WrestleMania moment for the ages.
Plus, we got to boo Batista a little. It was a fun time. Don't lie, you enjoyed it.
Final Thoughts (And More Unpopular Opinions!)
Maybe Batista didn't "deserve" the hate. Maybe Orton was a little *too* good at being the bad guy.
But, it all worked. It created magic. And it reminded us why we love wrestling in the first place.
So, next time you're thinking about that feud, cut Batista some slack. He was just doing his job. And he looked good doing it!
Maybe. Okay, probably not. But a guy can dream, right?
