Okay, hear me out. I love anime. You love anime. We all love anime. But… another reincarnation anime?

Specifically, do we really need a Death Mage Who Doesn't Want A Fourth Time anime adaptation? I'm not so sure.

The Reincarnation Treadmill

Seriously, the reincarnation genre is bursting at the seams. Every season brings a new batch. A new story of someone getting a do-over. Usually with overpowered skills, naturally.

It’s like, can’t anyone just… stay dead for once? Is that too much to ask?

Look, I get the appeal. Escapism is nice. Who wouldn't want a second chance, right? Or a third? Or… a fourth, I guess, if you're that unlucky.

Death Mage: Seen it All Before?

Don't get me wrong. Death Mage has its fans. The light novels are popular. But let's be honest.

The core concept feels… familiar. Someone dies. Gets reborn. Has unique powers. Faces challenges. You know the drill.

Will it bring anything new to the table? Something truly groundbreaking? I'm skeptical.

The Problem with Over-Saturation

The market is flooded! So many similar shows vying for our attention. It’s hard for any one to truly shine.

Isn’t it tiring seeing the same tropes rehashed over and over? The overpowered protagonist. The harem. The ridiculously unfair power system.

I want something fresh. Something original. Something that doesn't make me say, "Oh, it's just another one of those."

My Unpopular Opinion

Maybe I'm being harsh. Maybe Death Mage would surprise me. Maybe the anime adaptation would be amazing.

But I can't help but feel a little… burnt out. A little tired of the reincarnation train.

I'd rather see resources and talent dedicated to something new. Something that takes risks. Something that truly innovates. Give us something that can be like Attack on Titan or Code Geass.

What I'd Rather See

Think about it! An anime based on a struggling mangaka! Or a gritty cyberpunk detective story. Or even a slice-of-life anime about… competitive bird watching!

Okay, maybe not competitive bird watching. But you get my point. There are so many untold stories out there. Stories that deserve to be animated.

Let's give those stories a chance. Let’s move beyond the endless cycle of reincarnation.

A Plea to Anime Gods

So, to the anime gods, I have a humble request. Please, less reincarnation. More originality.

I beg you, spare us from another Death Mage Who Doesn't Want A Fourth Time anime… or at least, make it *really* good if you must!
