Dragon Ball Super Hero Blu Ray

Okay, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero on Blu-ray is... Fine.

Don't get me wrong. I love Dragon Ball. We all do, right? But am I the only one who thought Super Hero was… just okay?

I know, I know! Unpopular opinion alert! Everyone seems to be singing its praises. Especially that 3D animation. Which brings me to my next point.

The 3D: Yikes or Yay?

Look, the 3D was definitely… a choice. Some moments, it looked fantastic! Other times? It felt like watching a really well-animated video game cutscene. Not bad, just… different.

I missed the classic 2D animation. Call me old-fashioned, but there's something about that hand-drawn feel. It's like the difference between a gourmet burger and a McDonald's cheeseburger. Both burgers, but one is... well, you get it.

And let's be honest, some of the character models looked a little… off. Especially Piccolo. He looked like he'd been hitting the weights a little *too* hard.

Gohan Blanco?

Everyone went wild for Gohan Blanco! Or Beast Gohan, or whatever cool name they're calling it. Sure, it was cool. Power-ups are always cool.

But did it feel a *little* forced? Like they needed to give Gohan something to do other than be a nerdy dad? I kind of miss the Gohan who studied bugs.

And Piccolo getting a power boost? Awesome! He deserves it. Our favorite Namekian finally got some serious shine!

The Villain Problem (Again!)

Let's talk about the villains. The Red Ribbon Army is back… again. These guys are like the Team Rocket of Dragon Ball. Always causing trouble, never actually succeeding.

Cell Max? He was big. He was strong. He was… kinda boring? He was basically just a bigger, angrier Cell. Give me Frieza any day!

Maybe it's just me, but the villains in Dragon Ball have been a bit lacking lately. Where's the creative evil mastermind? Give me a villain I can truly hate… and fear!

The Blu-ray Goodies

Okay, so the Blu-ray itself. Does it look good? Of course! Dragon Ball always looks amazing in HD. The colors pop, the action is crisp.

Are there cool extras? Probably. I haven't actually watched them yet. I was too busy rewatching the Frieza saga.

But seriously, who buys Blu-rays just for the extras? We're here for the fights! And those signature Dragon Ball energy blasts!

Final Verdict: Worth it?

So, is the Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero Blu-ray worth buying? If you're a die-hard Dragon Ball fan, absolutely! You'll probably love it regardless of my nitpicks.

If you're a casual fan, maybe wait for a sale. Or just stream it. I won't judge. (Okay, maybe a little.)

But hey, at least it's more Dragon Ball! And that's never a bad thing. Even if it's just… fine.
