Dragon Ball Z Netflix Season 1

Okay, let’s be real. Dragon Ball Z on Netflix Season 1? It’s iconic. But… hear me out.
I might have some takes that'll make your inner Saiyan scream.
The Endless Episodes
Remember the Frieza Saga? Felt like it lasted longer than my last relationship. No shade to Frieza, of course.
Seriously, someone could knit a sweater during one power-up sequence. Just saying.
Goku's...Choices
Goku is a legend, a true hero. But his parenting skills? Questionable at best.
He's always off training or fighting aliens. Leaving poor Chi-Chi to deal with everything. Sorry, Chi-Chi!
And don't even get me started on letting Cell get stronger. Dude loves a good challenge, even if it means risking the entire planet.
The Screaming
Dragon Ball Z wouldn't be Dragon Ball Z without the screaming. But sometimes, my neighbors probably think I'm being attacked.
It's a lot of yelling. A *lot*. Pretty sure my dog is now fluent in Super Saiyan.
The Power Levels
Power levels are wild. They go from "farmer with a shotgun" to "destroying planets with a sneeze" real quick. It makes no sense!
Remember when everyone freaked out about Vegeta's power level being over 9000? Good times.
Honestly, I'm convinced they just made them up as they went along.
The Pacing (Or Lack Thereof)
Let's talk about the snail-paced action. We get it, transformations take time. But do they really need five episodes?
I swear, sometimes I fast-forward through half an episode. Don't judge me!
Vegeta's Redemption Arc
Okay, Vegeta. The prince of all Saiyans. Starts as a villain, ends up… well, still a bit of a jerk, but a lovable one.
His journey is actually pretty compelling. Even though he never quite surpasses Goku. Poor guy.
"I am the prince of all Saiyans! I will not be defeated!"Yeah, yeah, we've heard it before, Vegeta.
The Recap Episodes
The dreaded recap episodes! Netflix, please, I just watched this! I don't need a summary every other episode.
They feel like a personal attack on my time. I'm trying to watch epic battles, not relive the same events!
The Dubbing
I grew up with the English dub. So it's nostalgic. But let's be honest, some of the lines are...questionable.
And the screaming. Oh, the screaming! Sometimes, the voice actors sound like they're about to burst a blood vessel.
Still, wouldn't trade it for the world. It's part of the charm.
So, yeah, Dragon Ball Z Season 1 on Netflix? It's a classic. But it's also kinda slow, kinda repetitive, and features some seriously questionable parenting.
Don't get me wrong, I still love it. But sometimes, I wonder if I should just skip to the good parts. You know, the bits with epic battles and Vegeta being grumpy.
Anyone else feel this way? Or am I just a heretic?
