Guardian The Lonely And Great God Episode 1

Okay, so you're looking for a new drama to binge? Let me tell you about Guardian: The Lonely and Great God, also known as Goblin. Specifically, let’s talk about why the first episode is so darn captivating.
A Grand Opening
The first episode is a feast for the eyes. Seriously, the cinematography is gorgeous. We’re talking sweeping landscapes and epic battle scenes right from the start!
We're introduced to Kim Shin (the Goblin himself). He’s a powerful general from centuries ago, but things didn’t end well for him. He gets stabbed by his own king! Ouch.
But hold on, he doesn't die. Instead, he becomes an immortal Goblin. A super cool, albeit lonely, one.
The Goblin's Curse (and Powers!)
Being immortal sounds great, right? Wrong! Kim Shin is cursed. He has to live forever, watching everyone he loves die. That’s a real bummer.
He can only end his immortality if he finds his Goblin's Bride. She's the only one who can pull out the sword stuck in his chest.
Of course, being a Goblin has its perks. Kim Shin can control the weather. He can teleport, and he has lots of gold. Who wouldn’t want to be able to do that?
Enter Our Heroine
Fast forward to the present day. We meet Ji Eun-tak. She's a high school student who can see ghosts. Her life is far from easy.
Eun-tak lost her mom at a young age and lives with her mean aunt’s family. They treat her terribly! You instantly feel sorry for her.
Here's the kicker: Eun-tak can also see Kim Shin. That’s because she’s the Goblin's Bride! But she doesn't know it yet.
Unexpected Encounters
Their first meeting is so intriguing. They literally keep bumping into each other! It’s clear there’s a connection, a spark.
Kim Shin is confused. He's never met anyone who could summon him so easily. It’s cute and awkward and totally watchable.
Eun-tak is also curious. She’s drawn to him, but she also finds him strange. He’s brooding and mysterious and clearly hiding something.
The Bromance (You'll Love It!)
We can't forget about the Grim Reaper. He lives in the same house as Kim Shin. They have the funniest bickering relationship.
These two are total opposites. Kim Shin is dramatic and emotional, while the Grim Reaper is stoic and cynical. Their constant clashes are hilarious!
Their relationship provides so much comic relief. It balances out the heavier themes of the show. Prepare to laugh out loud!
Why You Should Watch It
The first episode sets the stage beautifully. You’ve got a tragic backstory, a magical world, and a hint of romance brewing.
It pulls you in with its stunning visuals and intriguing characters. You'll immediately want to know what happens next.
So, if you're looking for a drama that will make you laugh, cry, and believe in magic, give Guardian: The Lonely and Great God a try. You might just find your new favorite obsession!
