Gundam 00 Season 2 Blu Ray

Okay, let's talk Gundam 00 Season 2. Specifically, the Blu-ray. Yes, I'm going there.
We all remember Season 1, right? It was all serious business. Political intrigue, awesome mobile suits. Solid gold.
Season 2: Did We Peak Too Soon?
Then Season 2 arrived. Did it live up to the hype? Well...
Let's be honest, some things were a little... different. Almost like they started brainstorming in a caffeine-fueled fever dream.
The Blu-ray Experience: Sharper Tears?
Now, picture it. You pop in the Gundam 00 Season 2 Blu-ray. Everything's crisp. So crisp, you can see every single tear drop. And trust me, there are a LOT of tear drops.
The mobile suits look amazing, of course. But does the high definition make the plot holes more glaring? Perhaps.
I mean, remember that "Innovator" thing? Yeah, that got... weird. Really, really weird.
Don't get me wrong, I appreciate progress. But sometimes, less is more. Did Gundam 00 go too far?
The animation is slick. The explosions are spectacular. It's like watching a beautiful train wreck in glorious HD.
A Few "Unpopular" Opinions
Here's where I might lose some of you. Deep breath... I didn't hate Season 2.
Yes, it had its flaws. Glaring, universe-bending flaws. But it also had moments of brilliance.
I actually enjoyed some of the crazy plot twists. Did they always make sense? Nope. Were they entertaining? Absolutely!
And let's not forget the battles. The mobile suit action was still top-notch. Lockon Stratos’s sacrifice gets me every single time.
"Lockon Stratos... Lockon Stratos... Lockon Stratos!!!"
Plus, Setsuna F. Seiei gets to talk to a giant space flower. Try to top that!
Okay, maybe I'm being sarcastic. But a little absurdity can be fun, right? Please say yes.
The Blu-ray: Worth It?
So, is the Gundam 00 Season 2 Blu-ray worth buying? It depends.
If you're a die-hard fan of the series, absolutely. The improved visuals and sound are a treat. Even if it makes the plot holes more apparent.
If you're easily annoyed by nonsensical plot twists, maybe skip it. Or watch it with a very large grain of salt. And maybe some popcorn. Lots of popcorn.
Ultimately, Gundam 00 Season 2 is a flawed masterpiece. Or maybe just flawed. But it's our flawed masterpiece. Right?
And hey, at least it gave us more Gundams. Can't complain too much about that.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go re-watch Season 1. Just to remind myself that it did, in fact, exist.
