How To Draw A Teddy Bear Holding A Heart

Let's draw a teddy bear! And not just any teddy bear. This one's holding a heart! It’s way easier than you think.
The Unpopular Opinion (About Circles)
First, we draw circles. Now, here's my unpopular opinion: perfect circles are overrated. Seriously.
Teddy bears are fluffy and cuddly, not geometrically precise. Embrace the slightly wonky circle! It adds character.
Building the Basic Bear
Start with a big circle for the body. Then a slightly smaller circle for the head. Overlap them a little – bears are squishy!
Don't stress about perfection here. Nobody's judging your circle skills (except maybe your cat).
Add two smaller circles for the ears. Stick them on top of the head. Remember, wonky is wonderful!
Legs and Arms (and Maybe a Tummy!)
Draw two oval-ish shapes for the legs. Attach them to the bottom of the body.
Do the same for the arms. Now, about that tummy... maybe a slightly curved line across the body?
Or skip it! Your bear, your rules. I personally prefer a fluffy, undefined bear belly.
Heart-to-Heart (Literally)
Now for the heart! It needs to be in one of the bear's paws. A classic heart shape will do the trick.
If you're feeling fancy, add a little shine to the heart! It makes it extra lovable.
Don't make the heart too big. Otherwise, the bear will look like it's struggling to hold it. Unless that's the look you're going for! Go wild!
Facial Features (The Cute Factor)
Time for the face! Two small circles for the eyes. A little oval for the nose.
Add a tiny smile. Instant cuteness. I maintain that a simple smile is always best.
Consider adding some patches! These are really easy to do. Just draw small, irregular shapes all over the bear.
Adding Details and Finishing Touches
Let’s give our bear some texture! Short, light strokes all over the body will do the trick. This makes it look fuzzy.
Don't overdo it! We want fluffy, not hairy.
You can also add some shading. This will give the bear some dimension. Darker areas under the head and arms work well.
Finally, add a background. Maybe some clouds? Or a grassy field? It is up to you!
Or leave it blank! A simple white background is perfectly fine. The focus is the bear!
The "Oops, I Messed Up" Section
Don't worry if your bear isn't perfect! Mine usually aren't. That’s the beauty of art.
Erase any lines you don't like. Or don't! Who cares?
The most important thing is to have fun! And to end up with a cute teddy bear holding a heart.
There is only one rule! Enjoy!
And that is all, congratulations. You have finished drawing a lovely teddy bear, holding a heart, and spreading the love!
