Alright, so how do you snag these coveted tokens of appreciation? It's not as scary as facing a tempered Deviljho, I promise! It's all about helping out your fellow hunters.
Join the SOS Flare Fun!
Think of SOS flares as the Monster Hunter equivalent of a bat-signal. Someone's in trouble, and you, my friend, are their caped crusader! Jump into those quests.
You can easily find these through the Quest Board. Just filter by "Available Quests" and "SOS." Boom! Adventure awaits! The harder the quest, generally, the more thankful the hunters will be.
Be a Helpful Hunter (Duh!)
Okay, this one sounds obvious, but it's super important. Don't just stand around sharpening your weapon while everyone else is dodging fireballs! Get in there and *hunt*!
Use Lifepowders liberally when someone's health is low. Seriously, carry like, a million of them. Think of them as Monster Hunter's equivalent of a get-out-of-jail-free card. Everyone loves a Lifepowder hero!
Break those monster parts! Stagger that beast! Be the hunter that does it all! Being proactive makes you a valuable asset to the hunting party. And valuable hunters get Commendations.
Become the Quest Completion God
Okay, maybe "god" is a bit much. But the point is, consistently completing quests with other hunters is key. The more quests you finish, the more opportunities you have to earn Commendations.
Don't abandon quests halfway through (unless, like, your house is on fire). Stick it out, even when things get tough. Hunters respect perseverance.
Patience, Young Hunter
This is perhaps the most crucial part. You don't directly earn Commendations from the game. It's all about other players giving them to you.
After a successful hunt with other players, there's a screen where everyone can give out Commendations. Be patient. Hunters might be stingy. Keep being helpful and eventually, you'll get your due!
If you're the Quest Poster, show some love and hand them out yourself to hunters who helped you.
