How To Get To Ancient Ruins Slime Rancher

Okay, let's be real. Getting to the Ancient Ruins in Slime Rancher can be a bit of a… trek. We all know it's out there, shimmering with promise of cool slimes and ancient secrets.
The Great Teleporter Debate
First, you gotta deal with Ogden Ortiz. This fella thinks he's Indiana Jones. He's basically the key to unlocking one path.
I'm just gonna say it: his missions can be a *pain*. So many veggies to gather. It’s a serious time commitment.
Or there's the easier, less veggie-filled option, which I (unpopular opinion alert!) prefer. It involves a bit of clever slime wrangling.
Teleporter Route Numero Uno: Ogden's Veggie Extravaganza
Alright, buckle up for Operation Veggie Basket. You need to complete a bunch of requests from Ogden Ortiz. Get ready to be his personal produce delivery service.
He wants specific types of veggies. Lots of them. Hope you've been expanding your garden.
Keep feeding him until you have the option to buy the teleporter. Boom, Ancient Ruins access! (Eventually…)
Teleporter Route Numero Dos: The Less Annoying Way
Here’s the method for those of us who *maybe* neglected our veggie gardens. Look for the big teleporter hunkering down at the end of the Glass Desert.
It's guarded by a tricky Oasis. Don’t get stuck there, that's no fun.
You'll need to feed it a specific plort to activate it. Any idea what this could be? Let me give you a hint: it's a cat with wings.
Yup, the Saber Slime. But where do you find one?!
Easy enough, the Saber Slime live in the Wilds and the Glass Desert.
Pop a Saber Slime plort into the teleporter thingy and *POOF!* Teleported right into the Ancient Ruins.
Getting Around the Ruins
Once you’re inside, get ready for a maze. The Ancient Ruins are sprawling. You'll be running, jumping, and jetpacking everywhere.
Keep an eye out for pressure plates! These are key to opening up new areas. It can be confusing but you got this.
And those weird, inactive portals? Mark them. You'll figure them out eventually. I promise. (Maybe.)
What's the Point of It All?
The Ancient Ruins hold some seriously cool stuff. We're talking Mosaic Slimes and Dervish Slimes. They are a sight to behold, but they eat way too many things.
You'll also find some unique resources. Like those weird cubes only found in the ruins. They are worth a lot of newbucks.
The Ancient Ruins are an essential part of the Slime Rancher experience. So go explore! Happy ranching, y'all!
