How To Get To The Abyss Hollow Knight
Alright Adventurer! Abyss Here We Come!
Ready to dive into the darkest depths? I'm talking about the Abyss in Hollow Knight, of course! Don't worry, you won't need scuba gear, just a whole lot of heart (and a few key items).
Think of this guide as your friendly neighborhood map. Let's start this epic journey!
Step 1: Descending Into The Ancient Basin
First things first, we need to head towards the Ancient Basin. This isn't exactly a walk in the park, but think of it as your warm-up act!
You'll find it way down below the City of Tears. Imagine taking the world's longest elevator ride... but with more spikes and angry bugs.
Once you're down there, you'll probably meet a pal named the Broken Vessel. This fight is totally required.
Step 2: King's Brand and Tram Pass
After you beat Broken Vessel, claim your new tool: Descending Dark. This will absolutely help you!
Now, lets get the King's Brand. You'll want to go to the very, very bottom of the Ancient Basin.
Keep an eye out for a hidden wall near the Basin's lower reaches. Hit that wall and get the brand that you deserve.
Step 3: To Kingdom's Edge And The Pale King
Next you'll have to go to Kingdom's Edge. You can get there from the east side of Dirtmouth and the right side of Ancient Basin.
You're going to need the Tram Pass from the Distant Village. This allows you to use the tram.
Once at Kingdom's Edge, follow the platforms to the right until you find the Pale King. Then give him the brand to unlock the door!
Step 4: A Royal Bath And the White Fragment
You may have noticed something off about the Pale King. Don't think about that too much.
After you see the king, head to the right and down to a pool of water. Jump into that pool and dream nail the corpse for one half of the kingsoul charm!
You'll have to do the same for the Queen's corpse. And find the Queen Gardens for that.
Step 5: The Kingsoul And The Abyss
Now you should have both halves of the White Fragment, the only thing left to do is combine them into the Kingsoul charm! This will take a few minutes, but you can do it!
Equip the Kingsoul charm and then head to the bottom of the Ancient Basin. You'll want to go to the place you found the King's Brand.
With Kingsoul equipped, a secret passage will open! Prepare to descend, because you're finally entering the Abyss!
Step 6: Embrace the Void
You're in the Abyss now. Congratulations!
Start swimming into the sea of void at the bottom of the Abyss. Follow the platforms until you reach a giant egg.
Dream nail the egg while wearing the Kingsoul, then you'll get the Void Heart charm. Congratulations! You've done it!
The Abyss isn't just a place, it's a state of mind. And you, my friend, have conquered it!
