Step 1: The Shrine of Winter is Your New Best Friend

First things first, you need to open the Shrine of Winter. Think of it as the bouncer at a really exclusive (and decaying) club.

How do you convince this "bouncer" to let you in? Well, you've got a few options, all involving becoming a powerful undead slayer! You can defeat The Rotten, The Old Iron King, The Duke's Dear Freja and The Lost Sinner.

Alternatively, collect one million souls. Either way, doing this makes the Shrine accessible.

Step 2: Through Drangleic Castle You Go

Alright, Shrine of Winter opened? Great! Now you stroll through Drangleic Castle.

Don't worry, it's just a castle. A castle filled with stone soldiers and weird magic, but still a castle. You will meet King Vendrick here.

Progress through the castle until you find the King's Passage. Prepare for some gargoyles. They’re not the friendliest hosts.

Step 3: Meet the Crypt's Gatekeeper (Sort Of)

After King's Passage, you will find yourself in front of another closed door, and this time, you'll need a special key! That key belongs to Grave Warden Agdayne.

He's a chill skeleton hanging out near the entrance to Undead Crypt. Talk to him and he will give you a key to the crypt.

Just don't use torches in the crypt. He REALLY doesn't like it. Trust me on this one.

Step 4: Welcome to the Undead Neighborhood!

Congrats, you are now at the entrance of the Undead Crypt! Time to put those skills to the test.

Expect lots of dark corners, spooky whispers, and grumpy hollows. Remember to bring a big weapon or a lot of patience.

And maybe a friend. Misery loves company, after all!
