How To Make A Enderman Farm 1.18
Ever feel like you need more Ender Pearls? Or maybe you just want a constant supply of experience points? Let's build an Enderman farm in 1.18!
Finding the Perfect Spot
First, head to the End. Yes, that End. You know, where you fought the Ender Dragon.
Look for a relatively flat area far away from the main island. We don't want those Endermen getting distracted by other things.
The further away, the better the farm works! It’s like social distancing, but for mobs.
Building the Farm: A Step-by-Step Guide
Okay, let's get our hands dirty. Start by creating a platform of any solid blocks that is about 20x20. Think of it as a dance floor for Endermen.
Now build a small enclosed area in the center. Make it about 3x3 and 2 blocks high. This is your viewing booth!
You'll need to be able to see out but the Endermen can't get to you! A little viewing window in the center is a good touch.
Next, we need a place for the Endermen to fall. Create a pit all around the viewing booth, about 25 blocks deep. It's a long drop, but they'll be fine...mostly.
Add water streams at the bottom of the pit leading into a central collection point. We want them all in one spot!
Build up walls around the edges of the water streams, it will prevent the endermen from teleporting away.
Above the platform, add slabs to prevent spawning up there, except on the platform we just build. This increases the amount of spawning within the platform!
Adding the Secret Ingredient: The Endermite
This is where things get interesting. Endermen hate Endermites. We're going to exploit that.
Get an Ender Pearl and throw it within your viewing booth. There's a chance it'll spawn an Endermite.
If it does, great! If not, keep trying. You’ll get there eventually. It’s like playing the lottery, but with angry purple guys.
Once you have an Endermite, name it with a name tag. This prevents it from despawning. We don't want our little friend disappearing on us.
The named Endermite then needs to be put in a minecart. Make sure that they are enclosed so that the Endermen can't get to them.
Operation: Enderman Attraction
Now that everything's in place, the Endermen will start spawning on the platform and try to get to the Endermite.
Because of the setup, they'll fall into the pit and into your water streams, leading them right to you. It's like a purple-themed water park!
Stand in the collection point and... well...dispatch them. A looting sword really helps. Those Ender Pearls won't collect themselves.
