Ice Cube Up In Smoke C Walk

Okay, let's be real. We all know the iconic Up In Smoke Tour, right?
The one with Ice Cube and Dr. Dre bringing the West Coast vibes to the masses.
But I have a confession, a truly scandalous one, maybe. Prepare yourselves.
My Unpopular Opinion: The Up In Smoke Tour C-Walk Was...Underwhelming
I said it. I feel a bit lighter now.
Don't get me wrong, I love Ice Cube. He's a legend. And Up In Smoke is legendary!
But the C-walk moments? Something always felt a little...off. Like your shoes are too tight.
Hear Me Out, Though
I'm not saying it was bad. I'm just saying, for something so hyped, it felt a little…pedestrian. Pun intended, of course.
Maybe my expectations were too high. Blame the hype! Blame my love for West Coast music!
I think I wanted synchronized magic, like a hip-hop version of the Rockettes. Instead, I got...a C-walk.
Let me use a
“straight outta Compton”analogy: I wanted In-N-Out Burger. I got McDonald's. Both burgers, but one is clearly superior!
We're all entitled to our burger preferences, right?
It's About the Energy, Man!
Maybe it was the camera angles. Maybe it was the size of the stage. Maybe it was the lighting.
Whatever it was, the energy of the C-walk never quite matched the energy of, say, Ice Cube dropping a verse from "It Was a Good Day."
Now that’s energy! Remember when he didn't even have to use his AK?
The C-walk just seemed...a little bit forced. Like your dad trying to breakdance at a wedding. We appreciate the effort, but no.
Maybe It's Just Me
Perhaps I'm alone in this. Maybe everyone else was blown away by the C-walking prowess on display.
Maybe I need to rewatch the concert. Maybe I was too busy staring at the giant inflatable chronic leaf.
I blame the 90s. Everything was bigger, louder, and shinier. Including expectations for C-walking.
Or maybe, just maybe, the C-walk is best left to the streets. Seeing a bunch of people do it on a massive stage loses some of its raw charm.
I Still Love Up In Smoke
Let's be clear: I'm not hating on the tour. The Up In Smoke Tour was a cultural phenomenon!
Snoop Dogg was there! Eminem! The lineup was insane.
I just think the C-walk moments are a bit...overrated in the grand scheme of things.
Maybe my real issue is that I can't C-walk to save my life. Could be jealousy talking.
So, what do you think? Am I completely out of my mind? Or did anyone else feel a tiny bit underwhelmed by the C-walk?
Let the debate begin!
