I'm In Love With My Cosplay Girlfriend

Okay, confession time. I think I'm in love with my cosplay girlfriend. Yes, you read that right.
Wait, What? A Cosplay Girlfriend?
Maybe I should back up. My girlfriend, Sarah, is amazing. And she’s a serious cosplayer.
Like, really serious. Think weeks of planning, meticulous sewing, and enough foam to build a small fort.
It Started Innocently Enough
At first, it was just admiration. I was impressed by her dedication. The sheer amount of effort she put into each costume was mind-blowing.
I mean, have you ever tried crafting armor out of EVA foam? It's not for the faint of heart!
Then She Became Them
But then something shifted. It wasn't just Sarah anymore. It was Sarah... as Wonder Woman.
Or Sarah... as Morrigan Aensland. Or Sarah... as literally any character she chooses to embody.
Suddenly, I wasn’t just looking at my girlfriend. I was looking at a *living, breathing* video game/comic book/anime character.
Is It Weird? Probably. Do I Care? Nope!
I know what you’re thinking. This is weird, right? Like, hopelessly, irrevocably weird?
Maybe. But hear me out. It's not *just* the costumes. It's the commitment.
It's the way she embodies these characters. She *becomes* them.
The Charm of Commitment
When she's Princess Leia, she's regal and determined. When she's Lara Croft, she's adventurous and fearless.
I find myself drawn to these different facets of her personality. Seeing her embrace these qualities is amazing.
It's like falling in love with a new person every few months!
More Than Just a Costume
It's also about the shared passion. I get to be part of her world.
I help her with her builds. I carry her props. I take pictures (lots and lots of pictures!).
We even go to conventions together. It's like a super geeky, super fun date weekend, multiple times a year!
Okay, Maybe I'm a Little Biased
Okay, okay, maybe I’m biased. But it's hard not to be!
Seeing her light up when she nails a character's pose? Priceless.
Watching her interact with other cosplayers, geeking out over details and techniques? So cool!
It’s Not Just Physical Attraction
And it’s not just about the costumes being... well, flattering. There's something deeper.
It’s the creativity, the dedication, the pure joy she radiates when she’s in character.
That’s what I’m really in love with.
So, Sue Me. I'm Smitten
So, yeah. I'm in love with my cosplay girlfriend. And I'm not ashamed to admit it.
She’s talented, creative, and ridiculously fun to be around.
Besides, who *wouldn't* want a girlfriend who can single-handedly win any costume contest?
Anyone else feel this way?
Am I alone here? Anyone else out there crushing on their cosplay partner?
Or am I just a hopeless romantic with a thing for strong female characters?
Let me know! I'm curious (and maybe a little relieved) to hear your thoughts.
P.S. Sarah, if you're reading this, please don't make me carry your battle axe at the next convention. My back is still recovering from the last one!
