Jeep Jl 2.5 Inch Lift With 35s

My Jeep, affectionately nicknamed "Buttercup," always felt a little...grounded. Like a golden retriever puppy perpetually tripping over its own paws. She was cute, don't get me wrong, but lacking a certain adventurous swagger.
Then came the day I decided to give Buttercup a little boost, a touch of swagger. Enter the 2.5-inch lift and the promise of glorious 35-inch tires. It was like sending her to Jeep finishing school.
The "Before" Picture: A Moment of Silence
Before the transformation, Buttercup was...adequate. She could handle the grocery run with aplomb and even tackle the occasional gravel road. Exciting? Not exactly.
Parking lots were her natural habitat. Curbs, her nemesis. The thought of rocks bigger than a pebble sent shivers down her (figurative) spine.
Operation: Buttercup's Blossom
The installation process was…an experience. Let's just say there was a lot of grunting, sweating, and a few muttered apologies to Buttercup for any perceived discomfort.
My friend, bless his mechanically-inclined heart, was the brains of the operation. I was mostly there for moral support and to hand him the occasional wrench (usually the wrong one).
The moment those 35s were on, though? Magic. Suddenly, Buttercup wasn't just a Jeep; she was a statement. A declaration of independence from mundane pavement.
Buttercup 2.0: The Rise of the Golden Goddess
Driving Buttercup after the lift was like riding a slightly tipsy giraffe. Everything felt…higher. I could see over cars, admire rooflines, and generally feel superior to all the minivans.
The first real test came on a local trail, affectionately known as "The Grumble." Before, The Grumble had been a source of anxiety. Now? Child's play.
Buttercup, emboldened by her newfound height and grippy tires, practically floated over the rocks. I swear I heard her giggle.
Humorous Encounters and Unexpected Benefits
There have been some…adjustments. Like needing a running start to get into the driver's seat. And explaining to my grandma why she needs a stepladder to admire Buttercup.
Parallel parking has become a spectator sport. And I'm pretty sure I accidentally ran over a rogue garden gnome on a recent off-road excursion (sorry, gnome).
But the smiles per mile have increased exponentially. Kids point and wave. Adults give knowing nods of approval. Buttercup has become a local celebrity.
More Than Just a Lift
The lift and tires did more than just change Buttercup's appearance. They changed her attitude. And, surprisingly, mine too.
I'm more adventurous, more willing to explore. We’ve discovered hidden trails, breathtaking vistas, and a newfound appreciation for the great outdoors.
It's not just about the height; it's about the feeling. The feeling of freedom, of capability, of knowing that Buttercup and I can tackle anything life throws our way. Or at least, anything that fits under a 7-foot parking garage clearance.
So, was it worth it? Absolutely. Buttercup may still be a golden retriever at heart, but now she's a golden retriever that can climb rocks. And that, my friends, is something special.
Plus, I'm pretty sure she gives the best Jeep waves in the neighborhood.
