My Hero Academia Episode 1 Season 3

Hmm, So About That Pool Episode...
Okay, let's be real. We all remember the start of Season 3 of My Hero Academia, right? It's that beach episode... but it's not *really* a beach episode.
It's the one where Class 1-A cleans a pool. A giant, disgusting, heroically-sized pool.
Training Montage (of Cleaning)
Look, I get it. They're training. They're building teamwork and boosting their quirks. But did we *really* need an entire episode dedicated to scrubbing?
Don't get me wrong, the animation is great. And sure, seeing everyone work together is heartwarming and gives each character a moment in the sun. But seriously, cleaning? It feels like watching my own Saturday mornings, but with less screaming from my mom.
I'm not saying it's *bad*. It just... feels a little out of place after the intensity of Season 2. You know, the sports festival and the hero killer Stain!
Unpopular Opinion Alert!
This might be controversial, but I think this episode is kinda...skippable? I know, I know. Hear me out!
Does it add to the overall plot of the season? Not really. Does it give us crucial character development? Debatable.
Honestly, it feels like filler disguised as character development. Like when you're trying to reach the word count on an essay. You just throw in extra details that don't matter too much.
The All Might Factor
Okay, I'll admit, All Might trying to supervise is pretty funny. The poor guy is practically a walking disaster zone.
Every time he tries to "help," he just makes things worse. Classic All Might. We love him for it, but it doesn't save the episode.
Though I do like how much the students care about All Might and want to protect him from overworking himself.
The Pool: A Symbol?
Some people say the pool represents something deeper. Maybe it's a metaphor for cleaning up society or overcoming obstacles through teamwork. Fine, whatever.
I prefer the reading that the pool simply needed to be cleaned.
I'm just saying, there were probably more exciting ways to symbolize those things. Like fighting giant robots. Or rescuing kittens. Or maybe even just eating lunch! That's right! Let's see them have lunch together.
Don't Hate Me!
Look, I love My Hero Academia. I'm a huge fan. But not every episode can be a winner. This one just feels a little… underwhelming. It's just my opinion!
Maybe I'm just impatient. Maybe I wanted to jump straight into the forest training camp. You know, the actual plot of the season.
Is it awful? No. Is it memorable? Not really. It's just… there. Like that one song on an album you always skip.
In Conclusion: Needs More Action, Less Scrubbing
So, there you have it. My honest thoughts on the pool cleaning episode of Season 3. It's not terrible, but it's definitely not my favorite.
Next time, let's hope for more explosions and less… well, less cleaning. I'm ready for more villain fights and less training.
And maybe, just maybe, more episodes where Mineta isn't just… Mineta. Just kidding... mostly.
