Another Dragon Ball Z Series? Oh Boy!

So, rumors are swirling. Another Dragon Ball Z TV series is on the horizon. My initial reaction? A slightly weary sigh.

Don’t get me wrong. I love Goku. I truly do.

But...

Is anyone else starting to feel like we're stuck in an endless loop? Goku gets stronger, a new villain appears, everyone screams a lot, and then Goku gets even stronger. It’s a classic formula, but, yawn, is it getting old?

I know, I know. Blasphemy! How dare I question the might of Akira Toriyama! Believe me, I respect the legend.

But I have a confession: I secretly enjoyed Dragon Ball GT. Gasp!

I said it. And I stand by it.

Okay, the animation wasn't always perfect. Baby was a bit of a weird villain. And Goku turning into a kid *again* was... a choice. But! It tried something different.

Traveling the universe was cool. The Shadow Dragons were interesting. Super Saiyan 4? Radically different. Plus, the ending song? Pure feels.

What I Hope For

If we’re getting a new series, I have a humble request. Can we please explore some different avenues?

More Piccolo! Seriously, the Namekian warrior needs some love. Let him be the main hero for a bit.

Or how about focusing on Gohan? He’s got so much potential. Unleash his inner beast, people!

And can we delve deeper into the other universes? Tournament of Power was amazing. So many cool characters with incredible powers.

Forget another Goku power-up for five minutes. Let’s see some strategic battles, clever tactics, and maybe, just maybe, some actual character development that isn't just "I must get stronger!"

I would like to see villains with motivations beyond "I want to destroy everything!" Give me some nuanced antagonists. Maybe someone who thinks they're actually doing good? Someone with a sympathetic backstory?

The Real Unpopular Opinion?

Here it comes. Prepare yourselves.

Maybe… just maybe… we could have a *Dragon Ball* series without Goku as the *sole* focus. There, I said it!

He can still be around. He’s Goku! But let someone else shine for a change. Let's expand the universe and explore the other awesome characters.

Don’t get me wrong. I'll probably watch the new series anyway. Dragon Ball has a special place in my heart. Like many of you, I grew up with it.

But I'm hoping for something fresh. Something surprising. Something that will make me yell "Kamehameha!" with genuine excitement, not just nostalgic obligation. Fingers crossed.

And if not? Well, at least we'll have some new memes.
