On The Last Time Of Dragon Ball Z

Let's be honest. We've all thought about it. The *real* ending of Dragon Ball Z. Not the Buu saga. Nope.
I'm talking about the *last* *last* time. The one we pretend doesn't exist. The one that gave Goku a tan...and not in a good way.
The Great Saiyaman Fiasco
Remember when Gohan was a superhero? Yeah, *that* happened. Criminally underrated? Maybe. Criminally goofy? Absolutely.
He fought crime in a ridiculous costume. He struck poses that defied physics. He was...the Great Saiyaman. It was...a choice.
And let's not forget Videl. Suddenly she's flying too? Talk about power creep! It felt a little forced, didn't it?
High School Hijinks? Really?
The whole high school thing felt...off. Dragon Ball Z meets Saved by the Bell? Didn't quite gel, did it?
We were promised epic battles. We got awkward teenage romance. The whiplash was real.
Don't get me wrong, Gohan deserves a normal life. But maybe not *this* normal. Maybe a little less...homework?
The Tournament That Never Was
Then there was the World Tournament. This was supposed to be awesome. Remember the Cell Games hype?
But it felt...lackluster. Supreme Kai's weird secret missions. Spopovich being...Spopovich. Ugh.
It was a tournament designed to be interrupted. Which, I guess, is kind of the point of DBZ. But still!
My Unpopular Opinion: The Android Saga is the End
Okay, here it is. My controversial take. Deep breaths, everyone. Are you ready?
The *Android Saga* should have been the end. Perfect Cell? Epic fight? Gohan finally surpassing Goku?
It's a perfect conclusion! Themes of family, sacrifice, and surpassing your limits. Boom. Done.
Goku's death actually *felt* meaningful then. It was a passing of the torch. A beautiful (and tearful) moment.
The Buu Saga: Fun, But...
Look, the Buu Saga had its moments. Super Saiyan 3 was cool. Vegito was awesome.
But it also felt...bloated. Too many power-ups. Too many resurrections. It lost some of its punch (pun intended!).
Kid Buu was pure chaos, sure. But did we *really* need another ultimate evil to threaten the universe?
So, What's the Real Ending?
For me, the true ending is Gohan defeating Cell. Goku's sacrifice. The Earth saved.
It's a perfect, satisfying conclusion. A high note to end on. A moment of pure triumph.
Maybe I'm just nostalgic. Maybe I'm wrong. But that's how I'll always remember Dragon Ball Z. What about you?
