Pokemon Diamond And Pearl Walkthrough Part 1

Okay, so you're about to embark on a grand adventure in the Sinnoh region! Get ready for Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl, because it's time to choose your character and name that budding champion.

Twinleaf Town Blues (and Berries)

First stop: Twinleaf Town. It's quaint, it's cute, and it's where your journey begins. Don't forget to watch TV, it's going to be exciting!

Ah, the age-old decision: boy or girl? Pick whoever tickles your fancy, and then give them a super cool (or super embarrassing) name. It's going to be with you for the long haul!

Now, meet your "best friend forever," Barry. He's... energetic. To put it mildly. Prepare for him to crash into you at approximately Mach 5 every five minutes.

Lake Verity and a Close Call

Barry, in his infinite wisdom, decides you both should head to Lake Verity. Because, you know, what else is there to do in a small town? Apparently, catching a glimpse of a rare Pokemon is what is there to do.

Ignoring the warnings, you two head into the tall grass. This is where things get interesting, but not in a good way. Luckily, Professor Rowan arrives, dropping briefcases of Pokemon right in the nick of time!

Pick your starter! Turtwig (grass), Chimchar (fire), or Piplup (water). It's a momentous occasion. Choose wisely, my friend! Your starter Pokemon will be with you through thick and thin.

Barry picks the Pokemon that is strong against yours. Classic Barry. Get ready for a friendly rivalry that will span the entire game!

Route 201 and a Professor's Request

Now, you have to go to Sandgem Town. Route 201 is just the place to get that done. Make sure you use that Potion wisely!

In Sandgem Town, you'll meet Professor Rowan and Dawn. They'll want to know all about what happened back at the lake.

The Professor asks you to fill up the Pokedex! That means you need to travel across Sinnoh, battle lots of Pokemon, and catch them all.

Jubilife City: A City of Challenges

Time to head to Jubilife City. Route 202 is the next stop. But be warned, there are a lot of trainers. Get ready to battle!

Jubilife City is bustling and full of energy. Prepare to be bombarded with information and side quests!

Speaking of side quests, the first is from a strange man. He offers you a Poketch if you answer his quiz questions. It's surprisingly important to get it.

Then comes the Team Galactic, the local villains. They are causing trouble with Professor Rowan and Dawn. Defeat them.

With Team Galactic defeated, move on to the Trainers' School. A friend will ask you to deliver a parcel to them. Do not forget!
