Put Your Head On My Shoulder Ending

Okay, let's talk Put Your Head On My Shoulder. We all watched it. We all swooned. But did the ending *really* work?
I'm going to say something controversial. Prepare yourselves. I wasn't completely sold.
The Time Jump That Made Me Go "Huh?"
That time jump, right? Bam! Suddenly, they're all grown up. They have a kid! It felt a bit rushed.
Don't get me wrong, 司徒末 (Situ Mo) and 顾未易 (Gu Weiyi) are adorable. But I wanted more of their *journey*.
We missed so much! Their married life, first apartment, awkward family dinners... the good stuff!
My Unpopular Opinion: Less Baby, More Development
Listen, the kid, 顾林屿 (Gu Linyi), is cute. Super cute. But did we *need* him?
I think the writers could have focused on their relationship growing. Seeing them navigate life's challenges together would have been golden.
Imagine episodes dedicated to their careers. Situ Mo finding her place. Gu Weiyi facing academic pressures. Now that's drama!
Was It Too Perfect?
The show is a fluffy romance. We know that. But even fluff needs some bumps in the road.
Everything seemed too perfect in the future. No fights? No disagreements? Come on!
A little bit of realistic conflict would have made their love feel more earned. More relatable, even.
Where's the Messy Middle?
The messy middle is where the real magic happens. It's where characters grow. It's where viewers connect.
Instead, we got a perfectly packaged ending. Shiny and new, but lacking a bit of depth, in my opinion.
I wanted to see them struggle and overcome obstacles. Together, of course. But still, *struggle*.
Don't Get Me Wrong, I Still Enjoyed It!
Before you come at me with pitchforks, I enjoyed the show! 邢菲 (Xing Fei) and 林一 (Lin Yi) had amazing chemistry.
The early episodes were charming and hilarious. It's a comforting watch.
But the ending... just left me wanting a little more substance.
Maybe It's Just Me
Maybe I'm being too critical. Maybe I wanted a different story. Maybe I just miss them and want more!
It's possible. It's a cute show, after all. And happy endings are always nice.
But a *slightly* less perfect, more realistically developed ending would have hit even harder.
So, What Do You Think?
Am I alone in this? Did anyone else feel a little underwhelmed by the ending?
Let me know your thoughts! Maybe you loved the time jump and the perfect family. That's totally valid!
After all, we all interpret stories differently. But sometimes, it's fun to share our (perhaps unpopular) opinions.
Just remember, this is all in good fun! Let's keep the discussion light and respectful.
And if you disagree with me, that's okay! Maybe I'll rewatch it and change my mind. Maybe.
Either way, thanks for reading my thoughts on the Put Your Head On My Shoulder ending!
