Resident Evil 2 Find The Power Panel Parts

Okay, let's talk about something. It's Resident Evil 2. More specifically, those power panel parts.
Seriously, Though?
Am I the only one who thinks they're not *that* bad? I feel like I'm committing a gaming sin even suggesting this. But hear me out!
Everyone groans about them. They complain about the backtracking. But honestly? Is it *really* worse than that darn alligator?
A Necessary Evil?
Look, I get it. Backtracking isn't ideal. We all want to plow through zombies, not retrace our steps.
But the power panel parts add some suspense! You know something big is coming. And getting the power back on feels like a genuine accomplishment.
Plus, it makes you actually *explore* the RPD. Admit it, you find some hidden goodies along the way!
The "Horror" of It All
People act like finding these parts is akin to fighting Mr. X with a butter knife. It's not THAT terrible.
Yes, there are lickers. Yes, zombies might pop up. But that's Resident Evil, baby! It's part of the fun.
Honestly, I feel like some of the puzzles in later Resident Evil games are way worse. Remember the water puzzle from Resident Evil 3 (the original)? Now THAT was annoying.
Maybe I'm Just Weird
Maybe I'm alone in this. Maybe I enjoy the feeling of accomplishment a *little* too much. It is what it is.
But I think the power panel section is a decent break from the constant action. A little strategic searching, a little puzzle-solving...
It's not just mindless blasting. And sometimes, that's a good thing, right?
Perspective is Everything
Think about it this way. You could be fighting Birkin. Or trying to avoid getting one-shot by Mr. X.
Suddenly, finding a few power panel parts doesn't seem so bad, does it?
Okay, maybe it still does. But I'm standing by my opinion! It's not the worst part of the game, not by a long shot.
Final Thoughts (and a Confession)
So, yeah. I'm a power panel part apologist. Come at me.
Okay, fine. There was *one* time I had to look up a guide. But let's not talk about that.
Seriously though, next time you replay Resident Evil 2, try to appreciate the *journey* of finding those parts. You might just find a new appreciation for them! Or maybe not. At least you got some extra practice dodging zombies!
Maybe I'm just desensitized to tedious tasks in video games. Years of grinding in RPGs will do that to a person.
Anyway, thanks for listening to my probably unpopular opinion. Now, back to dodging Mr. X!
