Super Mario 3d World 5 4 Stamp

Okay, let's talk about something that's been on my mind. It's a little silly, maybe even controversial. But I need to get it off my chest. Prepare yourselves!
The Great Super Mario 3D World Stamp Debate
It's about Super Mario 3D World. Specifically, world 5-4. And even more specifically, the stamp in world 5-4.
I know, I know. Stamps. They seem so harmless. Little digital stickers you slap onto Miiverse posts (RIP Miiverse). Cute, collectible, no big deal, right?
Wrong! At least, in this one instance. This particular stamp in 5-4 has always bothered me. I think it's… underwhelming.
Hear Me Out!
It's not that the level is bad. 5-4, "Spiky Spike Bridge," is a fun, fairly challenging level. It's got those cool spike rollers. And the Plessie sections are always a treat.
But the stamp? The stamp features… a generic Goomba. Just a regular, everyday, run-of-the-mill Goomba. Really?
We’re in world 5! We've battled Bowser (multiple times!). We've rescued Sprixies! We've navigated tricky platforming sections! And we get a Goomba?
I feel like we deserve something more epic. Something that truly captures the spirit of the level. Or at least... a slightly cooler enemy.
Maybe a Spiky? Or a Dry Bones? Even a Boo would be an upgrade! Heck, give me a potted Piranha Plant! Anything but the most basic enemy in the Mario universe!
"But it's just a stamp!" - You, probably.
And you're right! It is just a stamp. It's a tiny, insignificant detail in a fantastic game. But that's what makes it so funny to me.
Imagine the meeting. "Okay team, we need a stamp for 5-4! Ideas?" And someone pipes up, "A Goomba!" And everyone just… agrees?
No one suggested something more visually interesting? No one fought for a more thematically appropriate stamp? The Goomba just… won.
Am I Alone? Probably.
I'm prepared to be ridiculed for this opinion. I know it's ridiculous to get worked up over a digital stamp. But I can't help it!
It's the principle of the thing! The missed opportunity! The sheer banality of it all! I imagine all the other stamps laughing at the poor 5-4 Goomba.
Maybe I'm reading too much into this. Maybe the Goomba is a symbol for something deeper. Maybe it's a commentary on the everyday struggles of being a common enemy in a fantastical world.
Nah, probably not. It's just a Goomba stamp. But I'll never look at it the same way again. And I'll always secretly wish it was something a little… spicier.
So, tell me, am I completely insane? Does anyone else feel my Goomba-stamp-related pain? Or am I just destined to forever be the weirdo complaining about tiny details in otherwise perfect games?
Let me know your thoughts! And if you disagree, that's okay. We can still be friends. Just… don't show me your 5-4 Goomba stamp.
It's a great game though! Go play Super Mario 3D World! (Just ignore the stamp.)
