Sword Art Online Ordinal Scale Kirito

Okay, let's talk Sword Art Online. Specifically, Ordinal Scale. And Kirito. Hold on to your hats, folks. I'm about to drop some potentially spicy takes.
Kirito in Ordinal Scale: A Different Vibe?
Is it just me, or is Kirito... kinda... showing off in Ordinal Scale? Don't get me wrong, I love the guy. But something feels a bit different here.
He's always been strong, of course. But in Ordinal Scale, he’s like a video game boss. He’s facing off against augmented reality monsters with moves that are straight out of a late-night anime marathon.
The King is Back?
Think about it. In Aincrad, he was fighting for survival. He was burdened with the weight of everyone’s lives. He's not just playing around in a virtual reality.
Here? He's still fighting, sure. But he's also casually showing up everyone with his skills in Ordinal Scale. The guy looks like he's having fun.
Is it wrong to enjoy seeing him dominate? Absolutely not! But that shift in tone definitely felt noticeable.
The AR Advantage?
Let's be real. Kirito’s experience in VR gives him a massive edge in AR. It's like he’s been training for this his entire life.
He's practically a walking, talking VR-to-AR converter. The man is so good. Everyone is starting to see him as a legend!
The others are catching up, sure. But watching Kirito adapt so effortlessly felt a little… unfair. Almost as if the game wants him to win at all cost!
Asuna's Concerns: Are We Ignoring Them?
Asuna is worried about him, let's not forget. She's the voice of reason, as always. She sees him pushing himself too hard.
He’s neglecting his health, obsessing over a new game. We should listen to Asuna. She clearly understands something we don't.
Is anyone else a little frustrated that Kirito doesn’t always take her concerns seriously? He's a hero, yes, but sometimes he needs a good talking-to.
The Real Villain: Kirito’s Drive?
Okay, this is where it gets controversial. Could Kirito’s own drive to be the best be the *real* obstacle in Ordinal Scale?
He's so focused on winning, on proving himself. Is that making him miss something important? His personal relationships?
Maybe the real challenge isn't the AR technology or the villains. It might be Kirito learning to balance his skills with his life.
Final Thoughts: Still Love Him Though
Despite my slightly critical (and probably unpopular) opinions, I still love Kirito. His flaws make him relatable. He is like us, human.
He is a complex character with a lot on his shoulders. Ordinal Scale just highlights some of those complexities. It showed a brand new Kirito.
So, what do you think? Am I way off base? Or did you also notice a different vibe from Kirito in Ordinal Scale? Let me know!
