Thaw All The Shards Out Genshin 1/3

So, there I was, staring at this giant, frozen shard. It looked like someone dropped a colossal ice cube and then just... forgot about it. Seriously, who leaves a shard this big lying around?
Naturally, the first thing that came to mind wasn't existential dread or saving the world. It was, "How am I gonna get rid of this thing?" Like, is there a giant ice scraper I missed in the starting kit?
Operation: Thaw Out!
My adventure began by talking to people. The villagers, as helpful as always, mumbled something about a "strange power" and pointed vaguely towards the horizon. Ah, the classic 'go that way and maybe you'll figure it out' quest.
I felt like I was in an interactive movie and the director was running low on budget. It also reminded me of cleaning my freezer. Both required dealing with stubborn ice and a lot of groaning.
The Unexpected Helper
Then came Amber. The ever-optimistic, always-ready-to-help, definitely-gonna-accidentally-set-something-on-fire Amber. Bless her heart.
Her bright idea was, of course, fire. And not just any fire, lots of it. Imagine trying to melt an iceberg with a birthday candle, but slightly more epic.
It turned out, that alone, wasn't enough. Go figure. Luckily, she knew what we needed to do.
We had to ignite a frozen pillar, which of course exploded with energy, and then let Amber, once again, shoot Baron Bunny at the shard to further break it.
The visual was so absurd, it was perfect. Flaming bunny meets ancient ice shard. It's peak Teyvat, if you ask me.
The Aftermath
Once the shard finally cracked (hooray for controlled explosions!), it unleashed this weird energy. It was like the ice cube was hiding a grumpy genie.
This energy, of course, awakened some slumbering monsters. It's always something, isn't it? One minute you're battling ice, the next you are being chased by giant, grumpy hilichurls.
Turns out, even melting giant ice cubes is a team effort. At least, if you want to avoid getting flattened by angry monsters.
What really got me was what the villagers did after. They thanked us. They truly thanked us.
"We are forever in your debt." - Village NPC
I've been called a lot of things, but 'hero' usually isn't one of them. I never thought I'd feel any gratification from all that, but it felt nice. It really did. It reminded me of why I even decided to start my adventure in the first place.
It's the small victories, the little moments of connection, that make these adventures worthwhile. And maybe, just maybe, not setting the whole region on fire in the process.
So, that was my shard-thawing adventure. Full of fire, explosions, grumpy monsters, and oddly satisfying gratitude. Now, where's the next giant ice cube?
