The Executioner And Her Way Of Life Volume 8

Okay, folks, let's talk Executioner and Her Way of Life, specifically Volume 8. We all read it, right? Good.

A Little Too... Much?

Am I the only one who felt like this volume crammed a bit too much into one book? It felt like they were trying to check off every single possible plot point on a whiteboard.

Don't get me wrong, I love a good plot twist. But this felt less like a twist and more like a rollercoaster that’s about to fly off the rails.

The Power Creep Is Real

Let's be honest, the power levels in this series are already pretty wild. But Volume 8? Forget about it. We're talking cosmic-level shenanigans.

I'm starting to think Menou needs a reality check. Or maybe a therapist. Or both. Seriously, the mental gymnastics are exhausting just to read!

I know it's fantasy, but even Gandalf needed a break sometimes. Just saying.

Akari's Dilemma: Over or Underutilized?

Poor Akari! This is where my "unpopular opinion" might come in. I love her, I really do.

But does anyone else feel like she's sometimes just... there? Like a cute, powerful paperweight?

I mean, she has the power to, you know, rewind time and stuff! But she mostly just reacts to things. Unleash her full potential, authors!

The Yuri Bait (Again!)

We all know the Executioner series likes to tease us with the yuri vibes. It's part of its charm, I guess?

But in Volume 8, it felt less like teasing and more like blatant baiting. Like they're holding a carrot just out of our reach.

Come on, writers! Either commit or don't! My shipper heart can't take much more of this back-and-forth.

The Villain Problem

I'm not entirely convinced about the villains in this volume. They felt a bit... generic?

We've seen so many evil organizations and power-hungry dudes. I need a villain with some actual depth. Give me some juicy backstory!

Maybe I'm just spoiled by great villain writing in other series. But I expect more from the Executioner series at this point.

Still Addicted Though!

Despite all my gripes, I still enjoyed Volume 8. It's like that guilty pleasure snack you know isn't good for you, but you can't stop eating.

I'm still invested in the characters, and I need to know what happens next! So, I guess the writers are doing something right.

Guess I'll just brace myself for the inevitable power creep in Volume 9. And hope for some actual yuri development!
