The Grumpy Old Troll Who Lives Under The Bridge

Let's talk about the Grumpy Old Troll under the bridge. You know the one. Every town has one, right?
And let's be honest, sometimes I think we're a little too hard on him.
He's Just Misunderstood, Okay?
Hear me out. Living under a bridge can't be easy. Imagine the dampness!
Plus, all those people stomping overhead all day. No wonder he's a little grumpy.
The Noise Pollution is Real!
Think about it. Constant traffic rumbling above his head. Kids yelling. That one guy who always plays the bagpipes a little too loudly.
I'd be charging tolls too, just to make it stop for five minutes!
It is just my opinion but, if I were the troll, I would do the same.
He Has Standards!
Okay, maybe he's a little picky about who crosses his bridge. But is that so wrong?
He probably just wants to maintain a certain level of decorum. I get it.
Everyone is entitled to have standards, especially a troll.
Maybe He Hates Shoes.
Think about the mud people track across his bridge! Is it any wonder he's suspicious of folks?
And the smell! Imagine the foot odor alone. It’s enough to make anyone a hermit.
I think he just wants you to wipe your feet, or better yet, just fly.
He's a Gatekeeper!
In a way, the Grumpy Old Troll is a gatekeeper. He decides who gets to pass.
He's maintaining order in a chaotic world. He might not have the best attitude, but it can be efficient.
It is my opinion, but I think that society needs such a gatekeeper.
Who Needs a Government?
Seriously. He's providing a valuable service. No one is walking all over the bridge willy-nilly.
He might be the only thing standing between us and total bridge anarchy!
Maybe he should have a government grant.
Let's Appreciate the Troll!
So next time you see the Grumpy Old Troll under the bridge, try to be understanding. He is more than a grumpy old man.
Maybe even bring him a nice, clean doormat. Or a pair of earplugs.
He needs a break for all the hard work.
Bake Him a Cake!
Or maybe, bake him a cake. A bridge-shaped cake!
Imagine the joy on his face. Or at least a slightly less grumpy expression.
Remember that you are not allowed to pass his bridge unless you have the cake!
He Just Wants Respect
The truth is, he is just like the rest of us.
He just wants to be respected, maybe a little peace and quiet, and maybe a decent toll system.
Let's give the Grumpy Old Troll under the bridge a break. After all, it is what he deserves.
Maybe next time, leave him a nice note instead of a complaint. It would make his day.
