The Truth Is In The Stars Witcher 3

Okay, let's talk Witcher 3. Specifically, "The Truth Is In The Stars." You know, that side quest in Skellige?
It's supposed to be all mysterious, right? Ancient prophecies and hidden meanings. But honestly? I think it's kinda… meh.
Unpopular Opinion Alert!
Brace yourselves. I'm about to say something controversial. "The Truth Is In The Stars" is overrated.
I said it! Fight me. (Just kidding... mostly.)
Let's Be Honest About Ermion
First of all, Ermion is involved. He’s the druid, always spouting cryptic nonsense. I just don't fully trust his beard.
Everything he says feels like a riddle wrapped in an enigma, covered in seaweed. Am I the only one who feels this way?
And then there's the quest itself. Running around, finding these symbols. It's like a scavenger hunt designed by someone who really, really loves astrology.
Astrology is fun, I guess. But after slaying griffins and bargaining with gods, I'm not sure if I care about celestial alignments.
The Rewards? Don't Even Get Me Started.
The grand reveal! What momentous item will we receive? A legendary sword? A powerful relic?
Nope. Some experience points and maybe a diagram for something I'll never craft. Thanks a lot, stars.
I appreciate the lore and the world-building. Skellige is beautiful and the idea of ancient druidic secrets is cool. I just don't know if it adds up.
Compared to Other Quests...
Think about the Bloody Baron questline. Or the Ladies of the Wood. Those quests pull you in. They make you feel things!
"The Truth Is In The Stars" feels more like a chore. A side quest to complete. Tick a box on the completionist checklist.
Maybe I'm just missing something. Maybe I'm not enlightened enough to grasp the true meaning of it all. But I doubt it.
It's Just... Fine.
Look, I'm not saying it's a bad quest. It's just... fine. Perfectly adequate.
It fills some time. It gives you something to do in Skellige besides getting drunk with Yennefer.
But if I had to cut one quest from Witcher 3, this one might be it. Don't hate me!
I know some of you love it. You probably spend hours deciphering the constellations. You know what? That's cool. I respect that.
Let's Agree To Disagree (Maybe?)
Maybe I am wrong. Maybe "The Truth Is In The Stars" is a masterpiece. Maybe I just lack the intellectual capacity to appreciate it.
But I can't help but feel that there were better uses of development time. Quests that could have been more impactful.
So, there you have it. My controversial opinion on a seemingly beloved quest. Let me know what you think! Am I completely off base?
Or do you secretly agree with me? Either way, let's keep it civil. No need to start a Witcher war over this.
After all, there's always Gwent to play. And that, my friends, is something we can all agree is amazing. Right?
