The Witch And The Beast Volume 10

Okay, folks, let's talk The Witch and the Beast Volume 10. Did anyone else feel a *slight* shift? Just me? Don't get me wrong, I still devoured it.
The art? Stunning as always. Kosuke Satake seriously knows how to draw a moody landscape. And those fight scenes? Dynamic and full of that dark, fairytale charm.
More World-Building, Please!
I'm a sucker for world-building. Gimme those lore dumps! Tell me about the politics of the Guideau's world.
Volume 10 gives us glimpses, which is nice. But I want to really sink my teeth in. Am I asking too much?
Guideau's Got Sass
Guideau remains my queen. Her snark is unparalleled. "Oh, you're a powerful mage? Let me just casually break your nose."
Ashaf is the perfect straight man to her chaos. Their dynamic is *chef's kiss*. I live for their bickering!
But, and this might be controversial, does anyone else think Guideau's character development has... plateaued a bit? I feel like she's been at this same level of "powerful but emotionally stunted" for a while now.
Villains Galore
We get introduced to some new baddies in this volume. They're creepy, they're powerful, and they're delightfully evil.
But are they memorable? Honestly, I'm struggling to recall their names without Googling. Maybe I just need a villain with a truly ridiculous hat. That's always a winner.
The power scaling is getting a little wild, though. It's reaching Dragon Ball Z levels of "how can they possibly get any stronger?" Let's dial it back a smidge, Satake-sensei!
Unpopular Opinion Time
Okay, here it comes. Brace yourselves. I think the plot is getting... a little convoluted.
All the different factions and ancient prophecies are starting to blur together. Am I the only one who needs a flowchart to keep track of everything?
And while I appreciate the mysteries, I'm starting to crave some answers! Throw us a bone, please! Just a little tidbit of information to chew on.
Overall? Still a Fan
Despite my little gripes, I still love The Witch and the Beast. It's got a unique vibe and a cast of characters that I'm genuinely invested in.
The world is fascinating. I just hope the series can refocus a bit in future volumes. Back to basics maybe?
I'm eagerly waiting for Volume 11. I will be there day one, ready to judge... I mean, enjoy it thoroughly! Don't let me down, Ashaf and Guideau! I'm counting on you.
And please, give us more ridiculous hats. For the villains, of course.
