Tonari No Kaibutsu Kun My Little Monster

Okay, Let's Talk My Little Monster
So, we all watched Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun, right? It was the anime we all pretended to be too cool for.
I'm just going to say it: Shizuku Mizutani wasn't the most...relatable heroine. She was all about the studies.
Bookworm Blues?
Look, I get it. Grades are important. But ditching friends for textbooks? That's a bit much, even for me.
And let's be honest, her personality was a tad...flat. Maybe I'm being harsh. I just like my characters with a little spice!
Though, I do have a confession. I did relate to her on a spiritual level, I also liked studying.
Haru Yoshida: Adorable...But Intense!
Now, Haru, the "monster" himself. He was a wildcard, wasn't he? So unpredictable!
His violent tendencies? Yikes! I'm not sure I'd feel safe around someone who punches people through walls.
However, his heart was mostly in the right place. He just needed a little guidance and maybe a therapist.
But let's face it, who *hasn't* fallen for the troubled bad boy at least once?
The Supporting Cast: The Real MVPs
Honestly, the best part of My Little Monster wasn't the main couple. It was the side characters.
Yamaken was my personal favorite. He brought the much-needed normal to their crazy group.
And Natsume! She was so cute and funny. I was so invested in her romance arc!
Friendship Goals? Kinda.
Their friend group was a chaotic mess. But it was their mess.
Seeing them navigate their weird friendships was oddly comforting.
They were all awkward and flawed, just like the rest of us. Maybe a little more violent, in Haru's case.
The Romance: Sweet, But a Little...Off?
The romance between Shizuku and Haru was definitely unique. Maybe a bit rushed?
They connected in a strange way. Both of them didn't really fit in.
It was cute but it also feels like a little too soon, and maybe they didn't really know what love is.
Were they really in love? Or was it just mutual bewilderment and a shared need for human connection?
I'm not entirely convinced. Please do not come at me with pitchforks.
Unpopular Opinion Time!
Alright, here it is. My Little Monster is good. It's even great!
But it's not the masterpiece everyone makes it out to be. I said what I said.
It's fun, it's quirky, but it's also a little flawed. The ending seems to come too fast.
Maybe I'm just being picky. But I needed to get that off my chest. So what do you think?
Do you agree? Disagree? Let me know!
