First Impressions: Not What I Expected!
I went in expecting typical isekai cheesiness. You know, the kind where the hero is immediately overpowered. Instead, I got something… different.
Makoto Misumi, our main guy, isn't exactly thrilled about being summoned. He's pretty average. He even gets dumped by the goddess! Rude, right?
The Voice Acting: Surprisingly Good?
This is where I think the English dub actually shines. The voice actors really nail the characters' personalities.
Especially Makoto. He sounds genuinely bewildered and a little put out. It's perfect for a guy who just wants a normal life but gets stuck in a fantasy world.
Even the goddess's voice oozes that "I'm too good for this" attitude. You instantly understand why she yeets him to the edge of the world.

Let's be real. Makoto isn't winning any beauty contests, according to the goddess anyway. That's kind of refreshing, isn't it?
We're so used to super attractive, perfect isekai protagonists. Seeing someone who's deemed "ugly" by a celestial being is a nice change of pace.
It makes him more relatable, somehow. Plus, his OP powers manifest differently. He smells amazing? What?!?
The Comedy: Actually Funny!
The episode isn't just about adventure. It's genuinely funny at times. Makoto's deadpan reactions to the ridiculous situations are gold.
