What Happens If You Don't Kill Trevor

So, you're at that point in Grand Theft Auto V. The game's holding a gun to your head, figuratively speaking, and forcing you to make a choice: kill Trevor, kill Michael, or try something... else.
Everyone talks about "Option C," the death wish. But what if you just... refuse to kill Trevor? What happens if you tell Franklin, "Nah, fam. I'm good?"
The Road Not Taken (Or Rather, Refused)
Well, spoiler alert: you don't get a shiny "Game Over" screen. Instead, Franklin argues with Michael. Then he has a long conversation with Lamar, basically saying both guys are crazy.
Franklin decides there has to be another way, one where no one gets permanently six feet under. The game unlocks "Option C: Deathwish."
Option C: Teamwork Makes the Dream Work (and Avoids Murder)
Here's where things get interesting and kinda heartwarming, in a twisted, GTA sort of way. Franklin ropes in Michael, and together, they decide they're going after everyone trying to kill them.
It's a bit of a suicide mission, let's be honest. But that's the point! Instead of offing one of your own, you go out in a blaze of glory, taking down the FIB, Merryweather, and pretty much anyone who's ever looked at you funny.
The whole tone shifts. It stops being about personal betrayal and becomes this weird, dysfunctional family banding together against the world.
The (Surprisingly) Happy Ending
Okay, "happy" might be pushing it. But compared to the other two endings, it's practically a Disney movie. All the main characters survive. Even Trevor, despite his best efforts to get himself killed on a daily basis, makes it through.
You get to keep playing as all three characters, switching between them at will. It's like the game acknowledges, "Yeah, maybe killing off a main character wasn't the best idea after all."
Trevor, surprisingly, becomes… almost mellow. Okay, "mellow" for Trevor means he's still a complete psychopath, but he's your psychopath.
The Benefits of Keeping Trevor Around
Let's be real, Trevor's special ability is awesome. Going into a rage and dealing double damage while taking half? Yes, please. Losing that would hurt gameplay significantly.
He provides the chaos! The absurd, unpredictable madness that makes GTA V so memorable. Without Trevor, things get a little… boring.
Killing Trevor feels… wrong. He's a terrible person, sure, but he's *our* terrible person. We've been through so much with him! And let's be honest, the other two endings are pretty depressing.
The Moral of the Story? (If There Is One)
Maybe the real message is that friendship, even among criminals, is worth fighting for. Or maybe it's just that blowing stuff up with your buddies is more fun than killing them.
Whatever the reason, refusing to kill Trevor unlocks a more satisfying, and arguably more "GTA" experience. Embrace the chaos, embrace the absurdity, and keep that lovable lunatic alive!
Plus, think of all the hilarious dialogue you'd miss out on if Trevor wasn't around to say the quiet parts out loud. And you get to keep his Bodhi truck!
