What Naruto Series Is After Shippuden

So, Naruto Shippuden ended. We cried. We cheered. We maybe even rewatched the whole thing… twice.
But then what? What's the deal with everything after that epic ninja war?
Boruto: Naruto Next Generations - Obvious, Right?
Okay, okay, let's address the elephant in the room. There's Boruto. It features Naruto's son. He's got issues, just like his dad.
Some folks love it. Some... don't. It’s the "official" sequel. I get it.
But hear me out. Is it *really* the sequel we deserved?
My Unpopular Opinion (Brace Yourselves!)
I’m going to say it. *Boruto*, while fine, feels… different. It lacks the raw grit and determination of the original.
Remember Naruto's ramen-fueled underdog spirit? It's a bit watered down.
Maybe I'm just being a nostalgic old fart. But I crave something else.
What *Should* Have Come After Shippuden?
Instead of focusing solely on the next generation, how about… a Konoha Slice-of-Life?
Imagine: "Naruto: Hokage Days." It's about the day-to-day struggles of running a village.
Think paperwork mountains! Annoying council members! And the occasional rogue ninja needing a stern talking-to.
The Real Hokage Problems
Picture Naruto dealing with budget cuts for ninja tools. Trying to get Sasuke to attend mandatory village meetings. Pure gold!
We could see more of the established characters. More Sakura being awesome. More Kakashi mysteriously reading his books.
Less planet-destroying threats. More relatable, humorous situations.
Or, How About Some Side Stories?
Another option? Anthology arcs! Short stories focusing on different characters from Naruto.
"Shikamaru's Guide to Laziness and Leadership." I’d watch that!
What about "Gaara: From Jinchuriki to Kazekage?" Dive deeper into his backstory. We need more sand-themed drama!
Missing Link Between Eras
These side stories could bridge the gap between Shippuden and Boruto. Show how the world changed.
Explore the consequences of the war. Maybe even see how technology started creeping into the ninja world.
No need for universe-ending stakes every episode. Just solid character development and engaging plots.
Ultimately, It's About Connection
Look, I appreciate Boruto for what it is. It's carrying the torch.
But sometimes, I just miss the original crew. Their struggles. Their triumphs. Their ramen-fueled adventures.
Maybe that's why a slice-of-life or anthology series would've resonated more with me. It's about staying connected to the characters we love.
So, what do you think? Am I crazy? Or are you secretly craving more adult Naruto dealing with Hokage headaches, too?
Let's be honest, who wouldn't watch Naruto yell at a printer that's out of ink?
