What We Do In The Shadows Intro

Okay, let's talk about something important. It's something that's been on my mind. Something that affects my viewing pleasure. Are you ready?
The *What We Do in the Shadows* Intro: An Honest Look
I have a confession. A potentially controversial one. I kinda...skip the What We Do in the Shadows intro. Gasp!
Don't get me wrong! I adore the show. I genuinely think it's comedic gold. Especially Nandor, he cracks me up.
But hear me out! It's not that the intro is *bad*. It's just...well...long.
It's All About That Time
In today's fast-paced world, every second counts, right? Especially when binge-watching. Those precious seconds add up!
The WWDITS intro, while atmospheric, is a commitment. A commitment I'm often unwilling to make. I just want to see Laszlo say something outrageous.
Is it beautiful? Sure! Does it set the mood? Absolutely! Do I still skip it? Most of the time, yeah.
We Know The Vibe, Already!
After the first few episodes, we get it. Vampires are old. They live in a house together. They're awkward.
The shadowy images, the creaky sounds, the old-timey font... I'm sold! I'm already in the creepy Staten Island vampire world. No need to remind me every single time.
Honestly, I find myself humming the theme song later anyway. Even without watching the intro, it sticks with you. Like a glitter bomb.
The Binge-Watching Factor
When you're watching three, four, five episodes back-to-back, the intro becomes repetitive. Like Colin Robinson's energy-draining stories.
I'd rather jump straight into the vampire shenanigans. The awkward day-to-day lives. The Guillermo-fueled chaos.
Plus, skipping the intro means more time for jokes! More time for witty banter between Nadja and Laszlo.
Am I a Monster?
Maybe. Possibly even a vampire-adjacent monster. But I stand by my opinion. I skip the intro.
I still appreciate the artistry. I'm not saying it should be removed. But I personally choose to fast-forward through it.
So, fellow WWDITS fans, tell me...am I alone? Or are there others out there who share my "unpopular" opinion? Be honest!
"I curse you! But also, I kinda get it." - Probably Nadja, if she were reading this.
Let the debate begin! Just please, no stakes involved.
And remember, even if you disagree, we can all still appreciate the comedic genius of What We Do in the Shadows. Intro or no intro.
