Which Region Is Pokemon The Power Of Us

Okay, let's talk about something that's been bugging me for ages. It's about Pokemon the Movie: The Power of Us. Specifically, where exactly is Fula City supposed to be located?
The Obvious (or Is It?) Answer
Everyone assumes it's Johto. I get it. There are those Lugia vibes everywhere, and Lugia is basically the mascot of Johto's second game. Plus, the movie has a kinda Japanese-inspired feel.
But hear me out. What if we're all wrong? What if Fula City is actually… somewhere completely different?
My Wild, Unpopular Theory
Brace yourselves. I think Fula City is located in Kalos. Yep, the region inspired by France.
I know, I know. You’re probably thinking I’ve lost my mind. But let me explain my incredibly (un)sound reasoning.
Exhibit A: The Architecture
Take a good look at Fula City. It's all cobblestone streets and colorful buildings, isn't it? It's got a definite European flair. Sure, Johto has some traditional architecture, but Fula City feels more… *European*. You know? Think a toned-down Lumiose City.
Exhibit B: The Wind Festival
The Wind Festival is a big deal in Fula City. They're celebrating the wind, right? Kalos has its own windy areas. I'm looking at you, Route 17. Also, the festival has that flair that could come from Kalosian culture.
Exhibit C: The General Vibe
This is the most subjective argument. But the overall aesthetic of the movie just *feels* more Kalosian. Is it the brighter colors? The way the characters are designed? I don't know, but my gut says Kalos.
Don’t forget the focus on community. Kalos is all about beauty and connection. Fula City nails that, with its celebration of the wind and people coming together.
But What About Lugia?!
Okay, the Lugia thing is a problem. No getting around it. Lugia is strongly associated with Johto. But maybe... just maybe... Lugia was on vacation. Or a migration route gone awry.
Hey, even legendary Pokemon need to stretch their wings sometimes, right? Plus, who says Lugia can’t hang out wherever it wants?
Johto? Nah, It's Kalos in Disguise
Look, I'm not saying I'm 100% right. This is just my fun, slightly-crazy theory. But I truly believe Fula City has a secret Kalosian heart. Maybe it's a little pocket of Kalos that got mysteriously transported to a different part of the Pokemon world.
Or maybe, the animators were subtly hinting at something deeper. We'll never really know. But it's fun to speculate, isn't it?
So, next time you watch Pokemon The Power of Us, take a closer look. See if you can spot the hidden Kalosian clues. And if you happen to agree with me, well, welcome to the unpopular opinion club!
Let me know your thought, do you agree that it's totally Kalos?
