Witcher 3 Gwent Cards Hearts Of Stone

Okay, let's talk Gwent. We all love it, right? Right?
Especially in The Witcher 3. It's practically a game within a game! But some things are more equal than others. And when it comes to Hearts of Stone, well...
The Unsung (and Unloved?) Heroes of Hearts of Stone Gwent
Look, I'm going to say it. The Hearts of Stone Gwent cards? Overrated.
Don't get me wrong. Some of them are decent. But are they truly *game-changing*? I think not.
Olgierd von Everec: Cool Story, Mediocre Card
Olgierd, the immortal dude himself! His card is, well, just alright.
Sure, he's got a decent strength. But compared to some of the other hero cards, he's kinda…meh.
I’d rather have Geralt, thank you very much.
Shani: Healer...and Card?
Ah, Shani. Lovely character. Amazing medic.
Her card? I often forget she even has one!
She just never seems to find a spot in my deck.
The Arachas Venom Enigma
Now, Arachas Venom. This one…this one is interesting. In a frustrating kind of way.
Boosting a row is nice. But is it *really* worth a slot when you could have something that deals direct damage?
I remain unconvinced.
Why the Hearts of Stone Cards Fall Flat
Maybe it's because they arrive so late in the game. We've already built our unbeatable Gwent decks by then!
So, introducing new cards just feels… unnecessary. Kind of like when your grandma gives you socks for your birthday (again).
We appreciate the thought, but we already have socks!
Or maybe it's the power creep. By the time we’re facing the Hearts of Stone challenges, we need cards that are ridiculously powerful to keep up.
And these cards just don’t quite cut it. They’re good, just not "blow-your-opponent-out-of-the-water" good.
It’s a shame.
The "Everyone Loves Them But Me" Scenario
Look, I know. People love these cards.
They talk about the synergies, the strategies, the… whatever. But I just don’t see it.
I feel like I’m missing something!
Maybe I’m just a Gwent heretic. A Gwent contrarian. Someone who enjoys stirring the pot.
But hey, that’s okay! We can all have our own Gwent opinions.
Besides, let's be honest. Half the fun of Gwent is collecting the cards anyway!
Even if we never actually use them.
So, am I wrong? Are the Hearts of Stone cards actually amazing and I'm just blind?
Let me know in the comments! (But be nice, please!).
And remember, at the end of the day, Gwent is about having fun. So play with the cards you enjoy. Even if those cards are... overrated.
