X Men Dark Phoenix Post Credit Scene

Okay, let's talk about something kinda… weird. Remember that *X-Men: Dark Phoenix* movie?
Yeah, the one everyone seems to collectively want to forget. I'm talking about the post-credit scene!
Specifically, what was the point? I have some thoughts.
Was That Post-Credit Scene Necessary?
Seriously, what were they thinking? Did anyone actually need that quick peek into the future?
I'm pretty sure most of us were ready to just move on after the credits rolled. Maybe grab some popcorn refills instead.
But nope, we got Magneto playing chess. With…Professor X. Again!
The Parisian Paradox
Paris looked lovely, sure. I always appreciate a good Eiffel Tower cameo.
But was the rooftop chat really necessary? It feels like a leftover scene from another, better movie.
It’s like they just wanted to remind us that, hey, these two are still kind of friends/enemies/frenemies. You know, the usual.
And then we get a new character, the mysterious Jean Grey energy manifesting as a phoenix.
She is watching them from afar. What did that mean? Was it Jean's ghost?
Seriously, what was the purpose of that scene?
My Unpopular Opinion (Brace Yourselves!)
Here's where I might lose some of you. Are you ready?
I think... I didn't hate it. Okay, don't throw tomatoes yet!
Hear me out. It wasn't *good*, but it wasn't the absolute worst thing about the movie.
The whole movie wasn't very good, in fact.
There were other things that were far more egregious.
The Small Saving Grace?
Maybe, just maybe, it offered a tiny sliver of hope. A whisper of a different direction.
A hint that maybe, someday, X-Men could find its footing again. I am a dreamer, I know.
Perhaps it was a message for the comic book fanboys. A visual reminder of what it can be.
Lingering Questions
But still, so many questions! Was this hinting at a new threat?
Was it just a symbolic farewell to the characters we (mostly) love?
Or was it just... filler? The studio forced them to add a post credit scene?
Honestly, I suspect the latter. It wouldn’t be shocking, would it?
So, What's the Verdict?
The *Dark Phoenix* post-credit scene. Ultimately, I consider it pretty pointless.
But, like a slightly stale cookie, it wasn't entirely unenjoyable.
Maybe it's Stockholm Syndrome setting in after watching the movie, I don't know.
I will just take what I can at this point!
Perhaps the mystery is what makes it memorable? Or maybe, just maybe, it was a small treat for those who stayed in the theater.
Let's be honest, we only stayed for the post-credit scene anyway. Admit it!
