Okay, Let's Talk About Liz Gillies

Confession time. I have an unpopular opinion. I think Liz Gillies is wildly underrated. I said it!

Don't get me wrong. People know her. Especially those who watch Nickelodeon. But hear me out.

First, The Voice (Seriously!)

Let's address the elephant in the room. Her voice. It's insane! That Broadway belt? Come on.

Have you heard her sing live? It's chills-inducing. Like, how is that voice coming out of that tiny human?

Victoria Justice gets all the singing praise. Meanwhile, Liz Gillies is out here casually slaying vocals.

Next, The Jade West Effect

Jade West from Victorious is iconic. We all know it. She's the darkly hilarious, sarcastic queen we secretly wish we could be.

But that character kind of boxes Liz Gillies in, doesn't it? People forget she's not actually a goth queen (probably).

She's acted in other stuff! And she's proven her range! But Jade West casts a long, stylish shadow.

And Speaking of Other Stuff...

Have you seen Dynasty? The CW reboot? She’s Fallon Carrington! Need I say more?

She nails the spoiled-rich-girl-with-a-heart-of-gold thing perfectly. The outfits alone are worth watching for.

Plus, she’s got amazing comedic timing. Something Jade West fans knew all along.

The Underdog Appeal

Maybe it's because she's not always the first name that pops up in the "teen idol" conversation. Maybe it's not. I don't know.

But there's something about Liz Gillies that feels...genuine. Like she's working for it. Even though she clearly doesn't need to.

She's talented, funny, and gorgeous. And she seems like she'd be fun to grab coffee with. (Just putting that out there.)

The Verdict

So, am I saying Liz Gillies is a secret agent hiding in plain sight? Maybe.

Am I saying she deserves more recognition? Absolutely.

Am I ready for the internet to tell me I'm wrong? Bring it on! Just kidding... sort of.

Listen, this is just my opinion. But, maybe give Liz Gillies another look. Listen to her sing. Watch her act. You might be surprised.
