Dragon Ball Super Frieza And Goku Vs Jiren

Okay, Let's Talk About That Fight...
We all saw it. Goku and Frieza, teaming up against Jiren. Epic, right? Or was it?
Look, I'm just gonna say it. It's a bit...overrated. Prepare for my hot take.
The Tension Was Palpable
The whole Tournament of Power was building up to this. Jiren, the seemingly unbeatable wall. Could Goku surpass him?
Frieza, of all people, joining forces was unexpected. Imagine seeing your arch-nemesis suddenly on your side. Talk about awkward teamwork!
The animation was great. The music pumped you up. No arguments there.
But...Was It *Really* That Good?
Okay, here's where I might lose some of you. The fight felt… messy. A beautiful mess, sure, but still.
They threw everything at Jiren. Ki blasts, punches, even desperate teamwork moves. It felt a little "kitchen sink," you know?
Plus, let’s be real. Jiren stood there taking a beating. He barely reacted sometimes! It felt kind of lazy on the writing side.
Power-Ups Galore!
Don’t even get me started on the power-ups. Ultra Instinct, Golden Frieza… They kept pulling new transformations out of thin air.
I love a good power-up as much as the next Dragon Ball fan. But at some point, it becomes comical, doesn't it?
Like, what's next? Goku fusing with a senzu bean?
The Ending Felt...Cheap
And the ending! Both Goku and Frieza eliminate Jiren by sacrificing themselves. A noble act, definitely.
But wasn't it a little...contrived? It felt like they needed a dramatic ending, even if it didn’t entirely make sense.
Plus, they both conveniently survive anyway. So, what was the point of the sacrifice?
Unpopular Opinion: Vegeta Deserved More
Here's my spiciest take. Vegeta should have been there. He deserved a piece of the action.
He trained so hard! He pushed himself beyond his limits! And he gets sidelined for Frieza? Seriously?
Imagine Vegeta fighting alongside Goku against Jiren. Now *that* would have been a truly epic moment.
Don't Get Me Wrong, It Was Entertaining!
Look, I'm not saying the fight was terrible. It was entertaining. It was flashy. It was Dragon Ball at its most Dragon Ball.
But sometimes, I think we get caught up in the hype. We forget to look at the flaws.
So, next time you rewatch Goku and Frieza vs. Jiren, ask yourself: Was it *really* as good as I remember?
Maybe It's Just Me...
Okay, I've said my piece. Now, bring on the hate mail!
Just kidding (mostly). I’m sure many of you loved the fight. And that’s perfectly fine.
But maybe, just maybe, someone out there agrees with me. Maybe I'm not the only one who thinks Vegeta was robbed!
Ultimately, it's all about enjoying Dragon Ball. Whether you love the Jiren fight or think it's overrated, we can all agree on one thing: it's fun to argue about anime!
