Howling At The Moon D Fine Us

Okay, let's talk about something a little...out there. Something we all secretly think about, but rarely admit.
Howling at the moon. Yes, that howling.
It's More Than Just Fur and Fangs
I know, I know. It sounds ridiculous. Wolves do it, right? Maybe a crazy uncle after a few too many beers?
But here's my potentially unpopular opinion: howling at the moon? It kind of defines us. A little.
Hear Me Out!
Before you click away, picture this. You're outside. It's late. The moon is HUGE.
Doesn't something primal just... stir inside you? A feeling you can’t quite name?
That, my friends, is the wolf whispering in your soul.
The Unspoken Yearning
We’re all so busy. Work. Bills. Endless scrolling.
We're drowning in schedules and to-do lists. We forget the big, beautiful, chaotic universe out there.
But the moon? The moon is a constant. A silent, silver reminder that there's more to life than spreadsheets.
And maybe, just maybe, that's why we feel the urge to howl. It’s a release.
A Connection to Something Bigger
Think about our ancestors. Around campfires. Under the same moon. Telling stories.
They didn’t have Instagram. They had the night sky. They had each other.
And I bet, on more than one occasion, they let out a good, hearty howl. Pure, unadulterated joy (or maybe fear!).
Howling is a way to connect with that lineage. To tap into the wild, untamed part of ourselves. It’s an acknowledgement of our place in the cosmos.
Embrace Your Inner Wolf (Even if it's Just a Little One)
I'm not saying we should all run naked through the forest, baying at the lunar orb. Although, hey, you do you.
But maybe, next time the moon is full, take a moment. Step outside.
Breathe in the night air. Feel the pull. And maybe, just whisper a little "Aroooo!" to the heavens.
It doesn't have to be loud. Or perfect. Just genuine.
The Definition, Revisited
So, does howling at the moon define us? Okay, maybe "define" is too strong.
But it reminds us. It reminds us that we're not just cogs in a machine. We're part of something ancient, something magical, something a little bit loony. And that's okay.
In fact, it's pretty darn wonderful. It shows we are more than just logic, we are also emotion and connection.
It shows we have something *in* us, to answer the call of the moon.
And if that makes me a little bit crazy, then so be it. I'll take crazy over boring any day. Maybe you should try.
Who's with me?
Arooooo!
