I Think I Love You Croods 2

Okay, confession time. I have a cartoon crush. And it's...The Croods: A New Age. Yep, I said it.
Hear Me Out: It's Not Just a Cartoon
I know, I know. It's a sequel. Sequels are almost always worse, right? But this one? This one just hits different.
The colors are brighter. The jokes are goofier. And honestly? I found myself laughing harder than I did at most "grown-up" comedies that year.
The Thorns: Were They Necessary? Absolutely.
Let's talk about the *Bettermans*. Phil and Hope Betterman and their daughter Dawn. They are modern, "evolved" humans.
Suddenly, the *Croods* are the bumpkins. Complete with Eep and Dawn's weird but cute friendship.
They build conflict, but they also add so much humor. All with a hidden amount of heart.
The Gags? Chef's Kiss
Seriously, the jokes. From Phil's overly-manicured eyebrows to the "thunder sisters" empowering moment, they work!
I laughed at punchlines I *knew* were coming. That's the sign of a good comedy, folks. You get a good amount of running gags and plot.
And don't even get me started on the chicken-like creatures. They are so dumb. But they are hilarious.
Girl Power with Grandma
Speaking of empowerment, *Gran* is fantastic. She's tough, sassy, and full of surprises.
The fact that she basically communicates with a banana family? Comedy gold. This is one Granny you do not want to mess with.
The movie just knows how to use all its characters properly. You just know there is love in this movie.
The Animation: A Visual Feast
Okay, I'm not an animation expert. But the visuals in this movie are stunning. Everything is vibrant and energetic.
The creatures are imaginative and wonderfully weird. This adds much to the movie.
The smoothie-like world is a joy to watch. My eyes just thank me for it.
Unpopular Opinion: It's Better Than the First One
Okay, deep breath. I said it. *The Croods: A New Age* is better than the original.
The first movie was good. I agree. But the sequel is more creative, more funny, and more visually appealing.
It expands on the world and characters in a meaningful way. Plus, it has more heart.
So, Should You Watch It?
If you're looking for a lighthearted, feel-good movie that the whole family can enjoy? Absolutely.
Don't overthink it. Just sit back, relax, and laugh along with the Croods and the *Bettermans*.
You might just find yourself, like me, with a cartoon crush you weren't expecting. And hey, no shame in that!
