Lego Star Wars The Skywalker Saga Maz Bug

Okay, let's talk Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. Great game, right? So much to smash and rebuild. But there's a character that divides the fanbase: Maz Kanata.

Is Maz Kanata Overrated? Hear Me Out...

I know, I know. Unpopular opinion incoming. But hear me out before you grab your virtual pitchforks! Something about her gameplay just feels...off. Is it just me?

Specifically, that Maz Kanata bug. You know the one! The glitch where she just...stops working. Suddenly, her abilities are useless. Ugh!

The Maz Bug: A Personal Grievance

It always seems to happen at the WORST possible time. Mid-boss battle? Maz is on strike. Trying to solve a puzzle? She's taking a nap. So frustrating!

I've tried everything. Switching characters, restarting the game, even yelling at the TV (don't judge!). Nothing seems to reliably fix it. It's a gamble every time I pick her.

Maybe I'm just unlucky. Or maybe the Force is telling me something. Perhaps I should stick to playing as Luke or Leia. Safer bets, for sure!

Maz's Abilities: Are They Even Good?

Let's be honest. Aside from the bug, are Maz's abilities actually that great? Her mind control is situational at best. And her grenades? They're kinda...meh.

Compared to the Jedi's lightsabers or the Scavengers' nets, she just doesn't pack the same punch. I find myself constantly swapping her out for someone more useful.

Perhaps the developers could give her a little buff? Something to make her more appealing, bug or no bug. A faster grenade throw, maybe?

Other Characters Deserve More Love!

There are SO many fantastic characters in The Skywalker Saga. And some of them get totally overshadowed. Poor Admiral Ackbar!

I'd rather spend my time unlocking characters with genuinely fun abilities. Like, why choose Maz when you could be playing as Babu Frik? That's just common sense!

I think the attention given to Maz could have been better spent elsewhere. Maybe more levels featuring lesser-known characters. Or better integration of her abilities into puzzles.

Don't Get Me Wrong, Maz is Cool... In the Movies

I actually like Maz Kanata in the films. She's quirky, wise, and has a cool castle. But the video game version just doesn't quite capture her essence.

Maybe it's the clunky controls. Or the aforementioned bug. Whatever the reason, she just doesn't translate well to the Lego world. At least, not for me.

I hope the developers can address the issues with Maz. Because I really WANT to like her. But until then, I'll be sticking to the characters who don't glitch out constantly.

Final Thoughts: A Plea for a Maz Fix

So, is it just me? Does anyone else find Maz Kanata to be a bit underwhelming in Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga? Or am I destined to be forever alone in this unpopular opinion?
