Mgr The Only Thing I Know For Real Lyrics

Okay, let's be honest. We've all been there.
Stuck in traffic. Trying to assemble IKEA furniture. Suddenly, a song pops into your head. And it just won't. leave.
For me, lately? It's the lyrics from that Metal Gear Rising song, you know the one. The one with the cyborg ninja.
My Brain? More Like Monsoon's Fortress
I'm talking about "The Only Thing I Know For Real." Or, as my brain insists on calling it, "MEMORIES BROKEN, THE TRUTH GOES UNSPOKEN."
Seriously. That's pretty much the only thing I know for real these days. My grocery list? Gone. My anniversary? Questionable. The geopolitical consequences of the Peloponnesian War? Forget about it!
But MEMORIES BROKEN? That sucker's engraved on my cerebral cortex.
An Unpopular Opinion Incoming...
Here's where it gets controversial. I'm starting to think the lyrics, outside the context of Raiden's epic cyborg fights, are...kinda relatable?
Don't get me wrong, the song is awesome and makes me want to chop watermelons with a high-frequency blade (I don't own one, sadly). But listen closely.
Consider this line: "I've even forgotten my name."
Haven't we all had days where we're so overwhelmed, so buried under to-do lists and responsibilities, that we feel like we've lost touch with who we are?
I think so! It's like looking in the mirror and thinking, "Wait, is that really me? When did I become an expert at folding fitted sheets and arguing with the cable company?"
Another gem: "There will be bloodshed."
Okay, maybe not literal bloodshed. Unless you're really bad at gardening. But metaphorical bloodshed? Absolutely!
The "bloodshed" of a tough negotiation at work. The "bloodshed" of trying to explain to your toddler why they can't have ice cream for breakfast. The "bloodshed" of finally admitting you need to call a plumber.
Embracing the Cyborg Within
Maybe I'm reading too much into it. Maybe I'm just losing my mind. Maybe the endless repetition of "THE ONLY THING I KNOW FOR REAL" has finally cracked me.
But I think there's something strangely comforting about these lyrics. They're over-the-top, sure. But they also tap into a feeling of being overwhelmed, of struggling to remember what truly matters, of facing challenges that feel almost impossible.
And hey, if all else fails, at least I have a killer song to listen to while I fail. Right?
MEMORIES BROKEN...
So, the next time you're feeling lost and confused, remember Raiden. Remember "The Only Thing I Know For Real."
And maybe, just maybe, embrace the cyborg ninja within.
