Watch Marvel One Shot All Hail The King

Okay, let's talk about something a little nerdy. Something short and sweet. Something...royal?

I'm talking about the Marvel One-Shot: All Hail the King. You know, the one after Iron Man 3.

Why I Think It's Great

Here's my probably unpopular opinion: it's hilarious. It's cleverly written. It expands the Mandarin mythology.

The humor is on point. Trevor Slattery is a delightful idiot. Ben Kingsley plays him perfectly.

It also addresses criticisms about Iron Man 3. Remember the controversy? This little short kinda smoothed things over.

The Mandarin's Legacy

It reveals that the *real* Mandarin isn't happy. Not happy at all that someone is impersonating him.

He sends a member of the Ten Rings to spring Trevor from prison. But not for a friendly chat.

Let’s just say the ending is... impactful. It sets up a lot of possibilities. Did they go anywhere? Sadly, not really.

The Ten Rings is an organization that dates back to the first Iron Man film.

And, it ties in the events of Iron Man 3. How convenient is that?

Short, Sweet, and Satisfying

The One-Shot is only about 14 minutes long. Perfect for a quick MCU fix. A palette cleanser, if you will.

It doesn't require a huge commitment. Unlike rewatching all of Endgame (again).

It's a fun little side story. A glimpse into a different corner of the Marvel Universe.

Underrated MCU Gold

I honestly think it's one of the best Marvel One-Shots. It's rewatchable. It's funny. It's surprisingly relevant.

It provides context. It hints at a larger world. It makes Iron Man 3 slightly better. (Slightly.)

It sets up plot threads that could have been interesting in future MCU projects. We all know it didn’t happen though.

So, next time you're looking for something to watch, give All Hail the King a try. You might be surprised.

Seriously, though, what happened to Trevor Slattery? Did he ever return to the MCU?

He made a cameo in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Glad to see he’s still alive and kicking.

Now, hopefully, we see more of him in the future.
