Okay, Let's Talk About What We Do in the Shadows Season 3, Episode 9

Guys, I need to get something off my chest. We have to discuss "A Farewell." Specifically, I have some feelings about it.

Don't get me wrong, I love this show. It's hilarious. The characters are amazing, and the situations are utterly ridiculous.

The Whole Colin Robinson Thing

But the whole Colin Robinson arc in this episode? It left me feeling a little...underwhelmed.

Hear me out! Everyone was all sad and emotional about Colin Robinson's "death." They were having a big farewell party. It was a touching moment.

Except...was I the only one who wasn't *really* that sad? I mean, I like Colin Robinson. But was I weeping into my garlic bread like Nandor? No.

Maybe it's because I saw it coming. Or maybe it's because energy vampires aren't exactly the most dynamic personalities. Sorry, not sorry.

Baby Colin!

Okay, Baby Colin is kinda cute. I admit it. A little creepy too.

The visual gag was great. But honestly, the whole "he's reborn as a child" thing felt a little... easy?

It feels like a classic sitcom trope. Was this the best they could do?

The Nadja and Laszlo Dynamic

Now, Nadja and Laszlo's relationship? Always gold. Their bickering is my favorite.

Seeing them try to navigate this whole "raising Baby Colin" situation is going to be funny. I'm excited for that. But still...

This doesn't make up for lack of drama. I needed more suspense and plot twists.

The Guillen Problem

And what about Guillen? Still the put-upon familiar. Still yearning for vampire-hood.

I feel bad for him. He deserves better, right? He saves their butts all the time!

Honestly, I just want him to become a powerful vampire hunter. Or just be appreciated for once.

My Unpopular Opinion?

So, here's my unpopular opinion: Episode 9 was...fine. Just fine. Not great.

It had its moments. But compared to other episodes in the season? It felt a little...safe.

Maybe I'm being too critical. Maybe I'm just a grumpy vampire myself. But I expected more.

Don't get me wrong. I love the show. I'm invested in these characters.

But this particular episode didn't quite hit the mark for me. Anyone else feel this way?

The Ending

The biggest part I was annoyed with was the send off.

Everyone gets appointed and given different positions. Then just like that, its over.

I was hoping that something more interesting would happen. But I guess we just have to wait for next season.

Ultimately, the show is still funny. I still love watching it. But this episode? Meh. It's my opinion.
