Wheels On The Sky Keep On Turning

Ever heard that Journey song, "Wheels on the Sky?" You know, the one that gets stuck in your head for days?
Well, here's a confession: I kinda think those wheels need to slow down. Just a tad.
Seriously, Can't They Take a Break?
I mean, "Wheels on the Sky Keep On Turning?" All the time? Wouldn't they get dizzy?
It's a lovely sentiment, sure. About traveling and searching and all that jazz.
But honestly, sometimes I just want to shout, "Hey, Sky Wheels! Pull over! Let me off!"
The Case for Stationary Wheels
Think about it. What if those Sky Wheels decided to park themselves for a bit?
Imagine the possibilities! We could finally catch up on sleep. Or maybe binge-watch that show everyone's been talking about.
And let's not forget the reduced wear and tear on, well, the sky! Eco-friendly Sky Wheels are the future!
I know, I know. Steve Perry might disagree. He's probably all about the constant motion and the endless possibilities.
But even Steve needs a vacation, right? Even rock stars need to chill. I bet he's been on a break for quite some time.
My Unpopular Opinion
Here's where it gets controversial: I think the "Wheels on the Sky" philosophy is a little... overwhelming.
Society constantly tells us to strive, to achieve, to keep moving. Like those darn sky wheels.
But what about enjoying the moment? What about appreciating what we already have?
It is easier said than done, of course, to stop and smell the roses, when the world is demanding us to move faster.
Embrace the Stop Signs
Maybe we need to embrace the occasional "stop sign" in our lives. A moment to breathe.
To reflect. To appreciate the non-turning wheels, so to speak.
And I am not talking about laziness, but simply enjoying what we have at the moment.
Imagine telling that to someone in 1981. They would call you crazy.
"The journey is the destination,"someone wise once said. But what if the destination is... right here?
A Modest Proposal
So, here's my humble suggestion to the cosmos. Let's introduce a "Sky Wheel Siesta."
One hour a day where the wheels just...pause. Everyone takes a break. The world collectively exhales.
We could call it "National Chill Out Time." Or maybe "The Hour of Peaceful Sky Wheels."
Okay, maybe I'm getting carried away. But seriously, a little stillness wouldn't hurt anyone.
Maybe I'm just tired. Maybe I need a vacation. Maybe I just want those wheels to be quiet for five minutes.
So next time you hear that song, just remember my plea. Let the sky wheels rest sometimes.
Let's all rest. And maybe, just maybe, we'll enjoy the view a little more.
Besides, think of all the money Journey would save on sky-wheel maintenance! It's a win-win!
